Applications are invited from eligible persons for empanelment as mediators In District Consumer Disputes
Redressal Commission Anantnag. Application forms can be obtained free of cost from the 0ffice of the District
Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission Anantnag during the office hours from 08-03-2023.The last date for
receipt of the application shall be 25-03-2023.
The procedure for selection of the mediators shall be governed by Jammu & Kashmir Consumer Protection
Mediation Rules,2023,
Requisite Qualification/Eliqibility:The applicant should be:
1. Retired District& Sessions Judge or Other retired Judicial Officer of the Judicial Service of J&K.
OR
2. Retired Member of a Consumer Commission.
OR
3. An Advocate with a minimum experience of ten years at Bar.
OR
4. Empanelled with the Mediation Cell ofthe High Courtor the District Court of J&K.
OR
5. Having experience of at least five years in mediation or conciliation.
OR
6 Expert or Professional or retired Officer of J&K Government with at-least fifteen years of experience in
administration.
FEE FOR MEDIATOR:
The Fee for mediator empanelled with the District Commission Anantnag shall be fixed by the President of
State Commission, case wise considering the nature of dispute in Consultation with Govt as provided in Consumer
Protection Mediation Rules 2023.
