Applications are hereby invited from Advocates/egal Practitioner on behalf of Social Welfare Department, Govt, of J&K for the empanelment as “Legal Advisors”on
voluntary basis in all Districts of Jammu &Kashmir Öf to provide assistance to the atroity victims under the provisions of”The Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes
(Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989 and Rules, 1995″&”The Protection of Civil RightAct, 1955
JOB OUTLINE:
1. Ensuring timely registration of FIR and other Legal counseling of the Victims approaching the National Helpline Against Atrocities (14566), www.nhapoa.gov.in
portal and
helpdesk.
.Ensuring proper action ls taken by the Law and Order Agenies with respectto filling of FIR and investigation of complaints of Atrocities on members of Scheduled
Castes and Scheduled Tribes.
Eligibility Criteria:
a)
>The applicant must possess a degree of law froma recognized university and must be a registered Legal Practitioner of District Session Courts or any other court.
The Counsel should be well conversant with the procedure in regard to filling, conducting and handling of Civil/Criminal matters in the courts, other relevantinstitutions
etc. and should be conversant with relevant legislations.
b)
Retired District and Session Judges orother retired judicial officers of the Judicial Services of the Jammu and Kashmir can also apply.
