|ADVERTISEMENT NOTICE

Applications are invited from the candidates as per the eligibility mentioned below for one position of Research Associate-l and one position of Field Assistant in the DBT, Govt. of India funded research project entitled, “Development of genomic resources, elite lines and germplasm conservation of high density rootstocks in apple”.

The positions are purely temporary and co-terminus with the project. The applications complete in all respects should reach the office of the School of Biotechnology within 15 days from the date of publishing of advertisement in the newspaper.

The applications should be submitted in a sealed envelope marked as, “Application for DBT-Project on Apple”.

1. Master’s Degree or equivalent with at least 55% marks in Biotechnology / Agriculture Biotechnology/ Botany/ Plant Sciences from a recognized University/or Institution.

2. Ph.D degree in any of the above mentioned subjects from a recog- nized University/or Institution

Experience in Plant Bio- technology/ Genetic Transformation evidenced by research publications in reputed journals.

Field Assistant (01 No.)

Experience of working in a research projects at high altitude locations, prefe- rably in apple orchards

20,000 pm fixed

*The positions are initially for a period of one year and further extendible based on the progress of the candidate and are co-terminus with the project whichever is earlier.
