ANNOUNCEMENT OF SCHOLARSHIPS FOR STUDENTS WITH DISABILITIES 2021-22
(PRE-MATRIC, POST-MATRIC AND TOP CLASS EDUCATION)
Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities provides an opportunity to Students with
Disabilities (Divyagjan) for availing scholarship under three schemes viz. Pre-matric, Post-matric and Top
Class Education for the year 2021-22. Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities invites
applications for the above scholarship schemes. The brief details of umbrella scheme are given below:

(a) Scholarships are open for Nationals of India.
(6) A person with disability having not less than 40%% disability and having a
disability certificate issued by the competent medical authority.
(c) Parental income ceiling per annum for Pre-matric, Post-matric Schularships is
Rs. 2.50 lakh and for Top Class Education is Rs. 6.00 lakh.
(d) Not more than two disabled children of the same parents will be entitled to
receive benefits of the scheme. In case, if the second child is a twin, the
scholarship under these schemes will be admissible to both twins.
(e) Scholarship for studying in any class will be available for only one year. If a
student has to repeat a class, he/she would not get scholarship for a second
(or subsequent) year.
(0 A scholarship holder under these schemes will not hold any other
scholarship/stipend. If awarded any other scholarship/stipend, the student
can exercise his/her option for either of the two scholarships/stipends, which
is more beneficial to him/her and should inform the awarding authority
through the Head of the Institution about the option exercised.

Applicants are advised to apply online for Pre-Matric, Post Matric and
Top Class Schemes on the website of National Scholarship Portal at
https://www.scholarships.gov.in (a link to the site is also available at
http://www.disabilityaffairs.gov.in ) or Mobile App of National Scholarship
Portal.

Applicants are advised to provide active/correct bank account details
while applying for scholarships to avoid payment failure.
