Applications are invited from the candidates as per the eligibility mentioned below for 08 Positions of Project Associate-I and 01 Position of Scientific Adm. Assistant in the DBT, Govt. of India funded research project entitled, “DBT- BUILDER University of Jammu Interdisciplinary Life Science Programme for Advanced Research and Education”.
The positions are purely temporary and co-terminus with the project. The applications complete in all respects should reach the office of Department of Zoology within 15 days from the date of publishing of the advertisement in the newspaper. Essential Qualification
Master’s Degree in Botany/ Plant sciences/ Biotech- nology/ Agriculture Biotech- nology/ Microbiology/ Bio- chemistry/Zoology/Environ mental Sciences from a recognized University or equivalent.
Desirable Qualification
Experience in Plant Biotechnology/ Genetic Transformation
OR
Experience of having worked/ knowledge in the field of ecology/ taxonomic (morpho molecular) aspects of various faunal groups and in Instrumentation
OR
Experience in Environ- mental analysis, Instru- mentation. Research publications in reputed journals.
OR
Experience in handling Microbial techniques and Instrumentation.
Scientific Adm. Assistant (01 No)

Experience in pur- chase/ handling of scientific equipments, data handling and documentation
Upper Age limit
35 years
Monthly Emoluments. in Rupees
i) 31,000/-pm + 16% HRA to candidates who are selec- ted through
(a) National Eligibility Tests CSIR-UGC NET including lecturership (Assistant Pro- fessorship), or GATE OR
(b) A selection process through National level Examinations conducted by Central Govt. Departments and their agencies and Institutions.
ii) 25,000 +16% HRA for others who do not fall under (i) above.

Rs. 18000/-pm +16% HRA

*The positions are initially for a period of one year and further extendible based on the progress of the candidate and are co-terminus with the project whichever is earlier.
