Advertisement for the post of Junior Research Fellow under SERB-DST Sponsored Project
Applications are invited for one post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in a Science & Engineering Research Board (SERB), Department of Science and Technology, Government of India sponsored project (under CRG Scheme; File No. CRG/2023/000756) entitled “Development of Rice Husk Derived Bio-Oil Modified Asphalt Binder: An Emerging Sustainable Road Construction Material”.
The post is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project. The duration of the project is three (03) years.

B.Tech in Civil Engineering and M. Tech. in Transportation Engineering or equivalent with minimum 60% aggregate marks (CGPA ≥ 6.5/10) to qualify under Open/OBC category and minimum 55% aggregate marks (CGPA ≥ 6.0) for candidates under SC/ST category, and must have qualified GATE.
Essential Qualifications
Prior knowledge of highway materials, advanced tests in transportation engineering, report writing etc.
Desirable
Candidates interested to pursue PhD in Transportation Engineering area will be preferred.
Age
Upper age limit is 28 years. Age relaxation for reserve candidate will be given as per UGC/DST/Govt. norms.
Tenure of Appointment
The initial appointment will be for one year (12 months) which is extendable up to three years based on the performance of the candidates.
Emoluments
231,000/-(plus 16% HRA as admissible) per month for 2 years + 35,000/-(plus 16% HRA as admissible) per month after completion of two years as JRF
