ADVERTISEMENT NOTICE
Applications are invited from highly motivated and eligible candidates for the position of Research Assistant (RA) under the project titled “Study of Physical Properties of Chalcogenide based compound semiconductors for solar cell applications” sanctioned by J&K Science Technology & Innovation Council, Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of Jammu and Kashmir, in favor of Dr. Shabir Ahmad Kumar (PI), Assistant Professor, Department of Physics, Islamic University of Science and Technology.
The position is temporary and co-terminus with the project.

Eligibility
Essential qualification: M. Tech (Nano-Science/Nano-Technology) or M.Sc Physics with 55% marks or equivalent.
Desirable: Candidates having expertise in Material synthesis and characterization.
Initially for a period of six months extendable based on performance

Interested candidates are requested to fill the application form as per the following format (page 2) and send pdf copy via e-mail to Project: Dr. Shabir Ahmad Kumar (PI), e-mail: [email protected] and copy to [email protected] with the subject mentioned as “Application for Project Research Assistant position (Candidate Name)”.
The last date for the submission of the application form is 14/06/2024. The application must be submitted in the attached format (page 2) however submission of resume/CV is optional.
GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:
1. The above position is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project and the candidates shall not claim for regular appointments in the university.
II. The University reserves the right to terminate the contract of non-performing candidates at any time without prior notice.
III. Eligible candidates must bring all the testimonials/certificates (in original and one attested copy) along with valid id and passport size photograph at the time of interview.
IV. No TA/DA will be provided to the candidates appearing for the interview.
V. Candidates will have to produce original documents relating to their qualification, experience ete at the time of
appearing in the interview.
VI. The University reserves the right to defer/not to filling up of post advertised here in above, without assigning any reason
thereof.
VII. In case candidate wants to withdraw, he/she must serve one-month notice period (or one-month salary).
VIII. The terms and conditions governing the service shall be as per the rules & regulations of university and/or funding
agency (wherever applicable) with amendments from time to time.
