CMRL-SPONSORED “PG DIPLOMA COURSE IN METRO RAIL TECHNOLOGY AND MANAGEMENT” AT IT MADRAS

Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL), a Joint Venture of Govt. of India and Govt. of Tamil Nadu, is a special purpose vehicle (SPV) entrusted with the responsibility of implementing the Metro Rail Project in the city of Chennai.

Applications are invited from dynamic and result oriented engineering graduates in Civil, Electrical, Electronics & Communication, Electrical & Electronics and Mechanical for CMRL sponsored “PG Diploma Course in Metro Rail Technology and Management” (PGDMRTM). The

total number of posts is 18.

2. Age: Not more than 28 years as on 09.06.2024 (Relaxation by 3 years for OBC(NCL) and 5 years for SC/ST).

Persons with Disability shall be eligible for an age concession up to ten years over and above the age limits prescribed, provided the applicant is otherwise fully suitable and the disability is not such as would render the applicant incapable of efficiently discharging the duties w.r.t post for which the candidate is selected.

3.Educational Qualification: First class graduates with a minimum aggregate average of 70% marks (relaxation by 5% for SC/ST candidates) in Civil Electrical/Electronics and Communication Electrical and Electronics Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University/Institute as approved by AICTE/UGC are eligible to apply. The candidates should have a valid GATE score at the time of applying. Final year students who will secure the eligible degree before the commencement of the course can also apply.

* CGPA will be converted to percentage marks as per IIT M senate norms.

4.Selection Process: The provisional selection is based on the valid GATE score and interview. The final selection will be subject to medical fitness.

5. Stipend & Contract period: Candidates on final selection will be designated as Executive Trainees during the course period of one year with a stipend of Rs.30,000/- per month, and CMRL will bear the necessary sponsorship and tuition fees for perusing PGDMRTM at Indian Institute of

Technology Madras (IIT M).
