All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi has released the official notification for the Nursing Officer Recruitment Common Eligibility Test (NORCET) 10. This national-level examination is conducted to recruit qualified Nursing Officers at Level 07 in the Pay Matrix for AIIMS New Delhi and other participating AIIMS institutions across India.

The recruitment offers a competitive salary in the pre-revised Pay Band-2 of Rs. 9300-34800 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 4600. This is a Group-B post. Interested candidates who meet the eligibility criteria regarding educational qualifications and experience are encouraged to review the details provided in the official notice No. 17/2026 dated 24.02.2026.

Eligibility Criteria for NORCET 10

Category	Essential Qualification
Option I	a. B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing / B.Sc. Nursing from an INC/State Nursing Council recognized Institute or University. OR B.Sc. (Post-Certificate) / Post-Basic B.Sc. Nursing from an INC/State Nursing Council recognized Institute/University. b. Registered as Nurses & Midwife with State/Indian Nursing Council.
Option II	a. Diploma in General Nursing Midwifery (GNM) from an INC/State Nursing Council recognized Institute/Board or Council. b. Registered as Nurses & Midwife in State/Indian Nursing Council. c. Two Years’ Experience in a minimum 50 bedded Hospital after acquiring the educational qualification.

Important Note on Experience: For GNM candidates, the required two years of experience is an essential criterion. This experience must be acquired after obtaining the essential qualification, which includes completing the residency period, declaration of results, and registration with the State/Indian Nursing Council.

Age Limit and Application Fees

The age limit for all AIIMS institutions is set between 18-30 years. Age relaxation is applicable as per the recruitment rules of respective institutes and general conditions. All age calculations will be based on the last date of closing of the application form.

The application fee for SC/ST candidates who appear in the examination will be refunded after the declaration of results, subject to the verification of valid certificates. Fees once remitted are non-refundable under any other circumstances.

Examination Schedule

The NORCET 10 selection process involves two stages of Online Computer Based Tests (CBT):

Stage I: NORCET Preliminary – Date: 11th April, 2026 (Saturday)
Stage II: NORCET Mains – Date: 30th April, 2026 (Thursday)
