Online applications are invited from Indian citizens for the selection of suitable candidates for preparation of a panel for filling up vacant posts in the cadres of Assistant Editor, Assistant Director, Senior Court Assistant, and Assistant Librarian in the Registry of the Supreme Court of India.
Essential Qualifications
1. Assistant Editor, Supreme Court Reports
A degree in Law from a University in India recognized by the Bar Council of India or any State Bar Council for enrolment as an Advocate; OR Must be a member of the English Bar; OR An Attorney of High Court in the territory of India. Knowledge of computer operation is mandatory.
2. Assistant Director (Ex-cadre), Supreme Court Museum
Master’s Degree in Museology with 1st Class from a recognized University. Knowledge of Indian antiquities, Museum techniques, publications, and educational activities is required along with knowledge of computer operations.
3. Senior Court Assistant (Ex-cadre), Supreme Court Museum
Master’s Degree in Museology with high II Class (minimum 55% marks) from a recognized University and knowledge of computer operation.
4. Assistant Librarian
Degree in Library Science from a recognized university. Candidates must hold a Diploma in Computer Application recognized by AICTE/DOEACC or equivalent. Knowledge of Library Automation Software and computerized search of on-line/off-line databases is essential.
Age Requirements and Reservations
For Assistant Editor and Assistant Director, the age limit is between 30 and 40 years. For Senior Court Assistant, the upper age limit is 35 years, while for Assistant Librarian, the upper limit is 30 years. Reservations for SC, ST, Physically Challenged, Ex-Servicemen, and dependents of Freedom Fighters apply as per Government of India rules.
Important Dates
The online registration for applications begins on 23.02.2026. The last date for submission of applications is 08.03.2026. Candidates who previously applied in response to the advertisement dated 25th July 2025 do not need to apply again.
