Project Assistant Recruitment at IUST Kashmir

The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at the Islamic University of Science & Technology (IUST) has released an advertisement notice for the recruitment of a Project Assistant (PA). This position is part of a specialized project titled “AI based Translation and Restoration of Rare Manuscripts,” which is sanctioned by the J&K Science Technology & Innovation Council, Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of Jammu and Kashmir.

Monthly emoluments	Rs. 20,000/- plus HRA (as admissible)
Eligibility Essential qualification/Desirable Qualification:	B. Tech. ECE/CSE/AI, M.Sc IT with 60% marks & above. Preference shall be given to candidates having GATE/M. Tech/Ph.D or candidates having relevant experience in AI/ML related projects.
Duration	Initially, for a period of six months extendable based on performance and subject to the availability of funds
Display of the shortlisted candidates	The list of candidates will be displayed on the university website
Day, Date and Time of Interview	The details will be displayed on the university website

Terms and Conditions

i. The above position is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project and the candidates shall not claim for regular appointments in the university.

ii. The University reserves the right to terminate the contract of non-performing candidates at any time without prior notice.

iii. Candidates will have to produce hard copy of the application form along with self-attested photocopies of certificates and relevant testimonials/ passport size photograph at the time of appearing in the interview.

iv. No TA/DA will be provided to the candidates appearing for the interview.

v. The University reserves the right to defer/not to filling up of post advertised here in above, without assigning any reason thereof.

vi. In case candidate wants to withdraw, he/she must serve one-month notice period (or one-month salary).

vii. The terms and conditions governing the service shall be as per the rules & regulations of university and/or funding agency (wherever applicable) with amendments from time to time.
