Applications on the prescribed format (ANNEXURE -1) are invited from fresh (who have not done Junior residency / House job earlier) Non-PSC doctors who are domicile of UT of J&K for the tenure posts of Junior Resident in different Departments of Govt. Medical College Udhampur.

The posts are for a period of six months, extendable to one year subject to good conduct and performance of the candidate. These positions are lying vacant or likely to fall vacant in the near future.

Total Vacancies = 40 nos.

The application form complete in all aspects must be accompanied with a non-refundable bank draft of Rs 500/- (Rupees five hundred) in favor of Principal GMC, Udhampur.

The application must be deposited IN PERSON on or before 04th April 2026 up to 4:00 pm. Applications sent by any other mode or after the last date shall not be entertained.

MBBS Degree and NMC/State Medical Council Registration certificate.
MD/MS/DNB Degree and NMC/State Medical Council Registration certificate (for post-degree applicants).
MBBS Attempt Certificate and Internship Completion Certificate.
MBBS Marks Card All Profs/Semesters.
Domicile of UT of J&K.
Professional publications in indexed/national journals.
NCC ‘C’ Certificate or academic distinctions.
FMGE certificate (for degrees obtained outside India).

Selection Criteria:

The selection shall be done on the basis of a written test. The date for the same shall be communicated separately on the official website of GMC Udhampur. The question paper will comprise 50 MCQ-based questions (100 marks) with negative marking of 1/4 marks per question.

Terms and Conditions:

Junior Residents will be whole-time and non-practicing. During their tenure, they are entitled to casual leave for 7.5 days only. Services may be terminated without prior notice if the candidate indulges in strikes or unsatisfactory conduct.
