Institute of Life Sciences (ILS), Bhubaneswar, an autonomous institute of the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India invites applications from Indian Nationals for the appointment of the following position.
Name of position: Junior Research Fellow (01 position)
Project: “Understanding the genetic basis of hearing loss using zebrafish model” (Funded by SERB)
PI: Dr. P V Ramchander
Fellowship: Rs. 31,000/- + HRA
Eligibility & Selection:
Candidates having M.Sc. or an equivalent qualification in Life Sciences or related subjects (Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/Genetics/ Microbiology/ Bioinformatics) with a minimum of 60% marks or an equivalent grade point (relaxation will be as per Govt. guideline) are eligible to apply.
Candidates should have qualified national level exam such as NET/LS-NET/GATE/GPAT/BET. Candidate with knowledge and experience in genetics or bioinformatics or cell culture or molecular biology techniques will be given preference.
Age Limit:
The candidate should be below 28 years in age, as on 28.11.2024. An age relaxation will be given as per Govt. of India rules.

The appointment will be for 4 months or until the end of the project.
No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview. The decision of the Director regarding the selection of candidates will be final and no further correspondence will be entertained in this regard. All the terms & conditions for the position will be as per the guidelines of SERB, DST, Govt. of India.
