The Government of Jammu and Kashmir, Office of the Child Development Project Officer, POSHAN Project Srinagar, has issued an advertisement notification for the recruitment of Sanginis (Anganwadi Workers) and Sahayikas (Anganwadi Helpers) on an honorarium basis across various Anganwadi Centres within the POSHAN Project Srinagar.

जम्मू और कश्मीर सरकार, बाल विकास परियोजना अधिकारी कार्यालय, पोषण परियोजना श्रीनगर ने पोषण परियोजना श्रीनगर के विभिन्न आंगनवाड़ी केंद्रों में मानदेय के आधार पर संगिनियों (आंगनवाड़ी कार्यकर्ताओं) और सहायिकाओं (आंगनवाड़ी सहायिकाओं) की भर्ती के लिए एक विज्ञापन अधिसूचना जारी की है।

Approval for filling up these vacancies was accorded vide letter No: MD/Poshan/22317-25 dated 18-06-2026, referencing Government Order No.222-JK (SWD) of 2022 Dated 30.11.2022 and Government Order No.103-JK (SWD) of 2023 dated 28.04.2023. The total vacancy count is 31 posts.

इन रिक्तियों को भरने की स्वीकृति पत्र संख्या: MD/Poshan/22317-25 दिनांक 18-06-2026 के माध्यम से दी गई थी, जिसमें सरकारी आदेश संख्या 222-JK (SWD) ऑफ़ 2022 दिनांक 30.11.2022 और सरकारी आदेश संख्या 103-JK (SWD) ऑफ़ 2023 दिनांक 28.04.2023 का संदर्भ दिया गया है। कुल रिक्तियों की संख्या 31 पद है।

Important Application Dates & Process

Applications are invited in the prescribed format (Annexure “A”). The timeline for submission of application forms is strictly defined as follows:

आवेदन निर्धारित प्रारूप (अनुलग्नक “ए”) में आमंत्रित किए जाते हैं। आवेदन पत्र जमा करने की समयसीमा को कड़ाई से निम्नानुसार परिभाषित किया गया है:

• Date of commencement for submission of application: 22.06.2026
• Last date for submission of applications: 21.07.2026 upto 04:00 PM

Eligibility Criteria

A. For Anganwadi Workers (Sanginis)

1. The candidate must be a domicile of the UT of J&K. Women candidates in the age group of 18-37 years shall be eligible (as on 01.01.2026).

1. उम्मीदवार को जम्मू-कश्मीर केंद्र शासित प्रदेश का मूल निवासी होना चाहिए। 18-37 वर्ष की आयु वर्ग की महिला उम्मीदवार पात्र होंगी (01.01.2026 के अनुसार)।

2. The candidate should be a resident of the electoral ward where the Anganwadi Centre is situated. The name in the voter list for the ward shall be considered as proof of residence. If the candidate’s name appears along with her parents, she must provide an unmarried certificate issued by the concerned Tehsildar. Any dispute regarding residence shall be resolved using a residence proof from the concerned SDM/ACR.

2. उम्मीदवार को उसी चुनावी वार्ड का निवासी होना चाहिए जहां आंगनवाड़ी केंद्र स्थित है। वार्ड की मतदाता सूची में नाम को निवास के प्रमाण के रूप में माना जाएगा। यदि उम्मीदवार का नाम उसके माता-पिता के साथ दिखाई देता है, तो उसे संबंधित तहसीलदार द्वारा जारी अविवाहित प्रमाण पत्र प्रदान करना होगा। निवास के संबंध में किसी भी विवाद को संबंधित एसडीएम/एसीआर के निवास प्रमाण पत्र से हल किया जाएगा।

3. Minimum qualification for Anganwadi Worker shall be 10+2 and maximum qualification is graduation. In case no 10+2 pass candidate is available in the ward, a 10+2 pass candidate from the adjoining ward shall be considered subject to the prior approval of the Mission Director, Mission POSHAN.

Weightage shall be given on the basis of marks obtained in 10+2 and selection will be done purely on a merit basis. Candidates with qualifications higher than graduation shall not be considered.

3. आंगनवाड़ी कार्यकर्ता के लिए न्यूनतम योग्यता 10+2 और अधिकतम योग्यता स्नातक होगी। यदि वार्ड में कोई 10+2 पास उम्मीदवार उपलब्ध नहीं है, तो मिशन निदेशक, मिशन पोषण के पूर्व अनुमोदन के अधीन बगल के वार्ड के 10+2 पास उम्मीदवार पर विचार किया जाएगा। 10+2 में प्राप्त अंकों के आधार पर वेटेज दिया जाएगा और चयन विशुद्ध रूप से योग्यता के आधार पर होगा। स्नातक से उच्च योग्यता वाले उम्मीदवारों पर विचार नहीं किया जाएगा।

B. For Anganwadi Helpers (Sahayikas)

1. The selection of Helper shall be restricted to the electoral ward where the Anganwadi Centre is located. Women candidates in the age group of 18-37 years shall be eligible and must be a domicile of the UT of J&K.

1. सहायिका का चयन उसी चुनावी वार्ड तक सीमित रहेगा जहाँ आंगनवाड़ी केंद्र स्थित है। 18-37 वर्ष की आयु वर्ग की महिला उम्मीदवार पात्र होंगी और उन्हें जम्मू-कश्मीर केंद्र शासित प्रदेश का मूल निवासी होना चाहिए।

2. Minimum qualification for Anganwadi Helper shall be matriculation (10th standard). In case no matriculate candidate is available in the ward, candidates with qualifications not less than 8th standard shall be considered.

The committee shall select the most destitute/needy married woman of the ward as helper from amongst those who fulfill the qualification criteria. In case no married candidate is available, an unmarried candidate may be considered.

2. आंगनवाड़ी सहायिका के लिए न्यूनतम योग्यता मैट्रिक (10वीं कक्षा) होगी। यदि वार्ड में कोई मैट्रिक पास उम्मीदवार उपलब्ध नहीं है, तो 8वीं कक्षा से कम योग्यता वाले उम्मीदवारों पर विचार नहीं किया जाएगा। समिति योग्यता मानदंडों को पूरा करने वाले उम्मीदवारों में से वार्ड की सबसे निराश्रित/जरूरतमंद विवाहित महिला को सहायिका के रूप में चुनेगी। यदि कोई विवाहित उम्मीदवार उपलब्ध नहीं है, तो अविवाहित उम्मीदवार पर विचार किया जा सकता है।

C. Additional Points

In case an eligible candidate is available within the family of retiring AWWs/AWHs, the said candidate shall qualify for an additional two percent points.

यदि सेवानिवृत्त होने वाले एडब्ल्यूडब्ल्यू/एडब्ल्यूएच के परिवार के भीतर कोई पात्र उम्मीदवार उपलब्ध है, तो उक्त उम्मीदवार अतिरिक्त दो प्रतिशत अंकों के लिए पात्र होगा।

Document Verification

Candidates shortlisted for Document Verification must appear with original documents along with self-attested photocopies of each document on or before the last date of submission:

दस्तावेज़ सत्यापन के लिए शॉर्टलिस्ट किए गए उम्मीदवारों को जमा करने की अंतिम तिथि को या उससे पहले प्रत्येक दस्तावेज़ की स्व-सत्यापित फोटोकॉपी के साथ मूल दस्तावेजों के साथ उपस्थित होना होगा:

• a) Marks sheet(s)/Diploma/Degree of the qualification prescribed for the post.
• b) Date of Birth/Matriculate Certificate.
• c) Domicile Certificate.
• d) Unmarried Certificate (where required issued by Tehsildar).
• e) Two recent passport-size color photographs.
• f) Original Photo ID proof (Aadhar Card or Voter ID card).
