National Institute of Technology Srinagar (J&K) is one amongst the 31 NITs established by GoI, an Institution of National Importance declared by the Act of Parliament and a premier technical Institution of the Country, offering several undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes in Engineering/Technology, Sciences, & allied areas, and also provides an excellent ambience for academic research and co-curricular activities.

राष्ट्रीय प्रौद्योगिकी संस्थान श्रीनगर (जम्मू-कश्मीर) भारत सरकार द्वारा स्थापित 31 एनआईटी में से एक है, जिसे संसद के अधिनियम द्वारा राष्ट्रीय महत्व का संस्थान घोषित किया गया है। यह देश का एक प्रमुख तकनीकी संस्थान है जो इंजीनियरिंग/प्रौद्योगिकी, विज्ञान और संबद्ध क्षेत्रों में स्नातक, स्नातकोत्तर और डॉक्टरेट कार्यक्रम प्रदान करता है।

The Institute invites candidates/applications (from Indian Nationals) for a Walk-in-Interview on 16.09.2026 for engaging temporary teaching staff in the following Departments:

Note-1: Candidates with a Direct Ph.D after B.Tech are eligible for the abovementioned vacancies.

Note-2: The candidates must have a first class at the Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree level.

नोट-1: बी.टेक के बाद सीधे पीएच.डी. वाले उम्मीदवार उपरोक्त रिक्तियों के लिए पात्र हैं। नोट-2: उम्मीदवारों के पास स्नातक और स्नातकोत्तर डिग्री स्तर पर प्रथम श्रेणी होनी चाहिए।

⚖️ Terms and Conditions

The candidates must satisfy their eligibility requirements before visiting for a walk-in interview.
The candidates are encouraged to send their applications / bio-data in the prescribed application form and scanned copies of all the relevant certificates/testimonials, to the given email IDs. They must produce the same in the original on the date of the Walk-in-Interview.
The nature of engagement is purely temporary for a period of 11 months or till the regular faculty joins the department, whichever is earlier.
The selected candidate shall have to enter into an agreement to serve the institute on the terms and conditions set by the Institute.
The fixed remuneration of Rs. 65,000/- per month shall be paid for active duty on this
