for OBC, EBC & DNT students for the Academic Year 2025–26

The Directorate of Social Welfare Jammu invites online applications under the following scholarship schemes through the National Scholarship Portal (NSP), Government of India.

• Pre-Matric Scholarship for OBC, EBC & DNT Students
  (For Classes 9th & 10th only)
• Post-Matric Scholarship for OBC, EBC & DNT Students
  (For Class 11th onwards)

Instructions for Applicants

• Apply online only through the National Scholarship Portal (NSP):
  www.scholarships.gov.in
• Step 1: Register on NSP using Aadhaar / Aadhaar Enrolment ID / Bank Account details.
• Step 2: Login using generated ID & Password and apply for the scholarship.
• Detailed Instructions and FAQs are available on the NSP homepage.

For Universities / Institutes / Colleges / Schools

• All institutions with valid AISHE / U-DISE / NCVT / SCVT codes, located within or outside the UT, must register on NSP.
• Institutions should complete KYC & Aadhaar Demo Authentication at the earliest.
• Course details must be updated on NSP to enable timely student applications and verification.
• Strict adherence to timelines is mandatory.

• Domicile Certificate
• Category Certificate
• Aadhaar-seeded Bank Account details
  (First page of passbook showing Account No. & IFSC Code)

The PM-YASASVI Scholarship Scheme is a flagship initiative of the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Government of India, aimed at providing financial assistance to students belonging to OBC, EBC, and DNT communities. For the academic year 2025–26, the Directorate of Social Welfare Jammu has enabled applications exclusively through the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) to ensure transparency and Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).

The scholarship supports students studying in Classes 9th to 10th (Pre-Matric) and Class 11th onwards (Post-Matric), helping cover educational expenses and reduce dropout rates. Applicants must ensure Aadhaar-bank seeding and timely submission of documents. Institutions play a crucial role in verification at the INO and DNO levels. Missing the 31 December 2025 deadline may result in rejection of the application.
