SCHOLARSHIP NOTIFICATION

PRADHAN MANTRI UCHCHATAR SHIKSHA PROTSAHAN (PM-USP) YOJANA

CENTRAL SECTOR SCHEME OF SCHOLARSHIP FOR COLLEGE AND UNIVERSITY STUDENTS (PM-USP CSSS)

Inviting ONLINE applications for Fresh Batch 2025, 1st Renewal of Batch 2024, 2nd Renewal of Batch 2023 and 3rd renewal of Batch 2022 on National Scholarship Portal.

Online scholarship applications under Pradhan Mantri Uchchatar Shiksha Protsahan (PM- USP) Yojana- Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship for College and University Students (PM-USP CSSS) are sponsored by the Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education (MoE), New Delhi through the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education.

Eligible students are invited through the National Scholarship Portal (https://scholarships.gov.in) by or before 31st of October, 2025.

Eligibility Criteria

Students who passed Higher Secondary Examination, Part-II (Class 12th) Session Annual, Regular 2025 (J&K and Ladakh- Hard Zone & Soft Zone) in the Top 20 Percentile and fulfill the below eligibility criteria may apply online for the scholarship.

Other Eligibility Criteria:

Gross parental/family income must be up to Rs. 4.5 Lakh per annum. Income Certificate will be required for the application.
No other scholarship should be availed from any other source.
Applicant must be pursuing undergraduate courses in any stream from a recognized institution within or outside J&K/UT of Ladakh.

The Top 20 percentile list is available on JKBOSE website: https://www.jkbose.nic.in
Scholarship quantum: Rs. 12,000/- per annum for undergraduate courses (Rs 36,000/- for three years) and Rs 20,000/- per year for postgraduate courses.
Eligible candidates of 1st Renewal of Batch 2024, 2nd Renewal of Batch 2023, and 3rd Renewal of Batch 2022 who are in receipt of CSSS can apply for respective renewal installments on National Scholarship Portal before 31st October, 2025.

The application after successful completion will be validated by the University/College/Institution in which the student is studying at graduate/Post Graduate level.
Note: Heads of University/College/Institutions may get/reset their User ID and Password on Email ID directoracad@jkbose.co.in to verify the eligible students online for speedy disposal.
