📢 Engagement of Temporary Assistant Professors / Teaching Assistants
Online applications are invited from eligible candidates for the temporary engagement of Assistant Professor / Teaching Assistant in the following programmes as an academic/temporary arrangement for the Academic Session 2025–26.
Departments/Programmes:
- Physics
- Islamic Studies
- Computer Science Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
Nature of Engagement: Purely temporary
Consolidated Monthly Salary:
- Assistant Professor: ₹30,000/-
- Teaching Assistant: ₹24,000/-
🎓 Eligibility Criteria
A. For Assistant Professor (General Disciplines)
- Good academic record with at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade in a seven-point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the Master’s Degree level in the relevant subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited Indian/Foreign University.
- The candidate must have cleared NET conducted by UGC/CSIR or similar test accredited by UGC such as SLET/SET.
- Candidates who have been awarded a Ph.D. Degree in accordance with UGC (Minimum Standards and Procedures for Award of Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009/2016 shall be exempted from the requirement of NET/SLET/SET.
B. For Assistant Professor (Engineering Disciplines)
- M.Tech. / M.E. in the relevant subject from a recognized University with minimum 60% marks or equivalent grade in a seven-point scale where grading system is practiced.
📝 Important Notes
- Candidates holding Ph.D. in the relevant subject in accordance with UGC Regulations shall be preferred.
- Candidates who do not possess Ph.D., M.Tech. or NET/SLET may be considered for engagement as Teaching Assistant, if eligible candidates are not available or if circumstances so warrant.
