Applications on plain paper are invited from eligible female candidates for participation in the selection process for engagement of ASHA Workers under NHM (National Health Mission) purely on performance basis, in the following villages/hamlets/areas of the block.

The detailed guidelines/terms & conditions issued by the Mission Directorate, National Health Mission, regarding eligibility, qualification, domicile, etc., are as under:

1. Selection Process
• The selection of ASHA shall be area specific and shall be restricted to the concerned village/area/hamlet.
• Selection will be done by the concerned VHSNC (Village Health, Sanitation, and Nutrition Committee).

2. Nature of Engagement
• The engagement of ASHA shall be purely on honorarium basis.
• Affidavit from a First Class Magistrate shall be taken at the time of joining, stating that the candidate will not claim permanent absorption.
• All decisions of the funding agency (NHM J&K under the JK Health Department) shall be final.

3. Eligibility Criteria
• Only married female candidates can apply.
• The candidate must be a domicile of the mentioned village/area.
• The candidate must be minimum matric-qualified.
