SUPPORT ENGINEER 10VOICE SUPPORT
We are looking for a Technical Support Engineer to provide assistance to our customers. You will diagnose and
troubleshoot application/software and hardware problems and help our customers troublesho ot our products
and programs. Technical Support Engineer responsibilities indude resolving product related issues using remote
desktop connections to provide immediate support. You will use phone and email applications to give dlients
quickan swers to sim ple application issues. For more complex pro blems that require nuanced instruction, you will
follow appropriate documentation and escalation processes to assist the customer and resolve the issue. To be
qualifed for this role, you should have experience working in an intemational call center style environment and
have experience providing application support and troubleshooting. If you’re naturally a helper, enjoy assisting
people with computer issues and are able to explain tech nical details simply, we’d like to meet you. Utimately,
you will be a person our customers trust. They will rely on you to provide timely and accurate solutions to their
technical problems.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Research and identify solutions to software isues
Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues, database issues, and other customer inquiries
Ask customers targeted questions to quickly understand the root of the problem
Track computer syste m issues through to resolution, within agreed time limits
Talk clients through a series of actions, either via phone, email or chat, until they’ve solved a technical
issue
Properly escalate unresolved issues to appropriate internal teams (e.g. software developers)
Provide prompt and accurate feed back to customers
Refer to internal database or external resources to provide accurate tech solutions
Ensure all issues are properly logged
Prioritize and manage several open issues at one time
Follow up with clients to ensure the ir IT systems are fully functional after troubleshooting
Prepare accurate and timely reports
Document technical knowledge in the fom of notes and manuals
Maintain jovial relationships with dlients
REQUIREMENTS
Proven work experience as a Technical Support Engineer, Software Support Engineer, IT Help Desk
Technician or similar role
Hands-on experience with Windows/Mac OS environments
Good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices and other tech products
Ability to diagn ose and troubleshoot basic technical issues
Familiarity with remote desktop applications and help desk software (eg. Zen desk)
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Ability to provide step-by-step technical help, both written and verbal
Minimum High School degree
Additional certification in Microsoft, Linux, Cisco or similar technologies is a plus
