Central Bank of India (CBI) has officially released a recruitment notification for the year 2026, inviting applications for Specialist Category posts. The bank is looking for experienced professionals to fill vacancies for Foreign Exchange Officer in Scale III and Marketing Officer in Scale I on a regular basis.

The total number of vacancies announced is 350, with 50 seats allocated for Foreign Exchange Officers and 300 for Marketing Officers. This recruitment drive offers a significant opportunity for candidates aiming to build a career in a leading Public Sector Bank with a PAN India presence.

Post-wise Vacancy Details

Foreign Exchange Officer (Scale III): 50 Vacancies (SC-7, ST-3, OBC-13, EWS-5, UR-22)
Marketing Officer (Scale I): 300 Vacancies (SC-45, ST-22, OBC-81, EWS-30, UR-122)

Eligibility Criteria (as on 01.01.2026)

Foreign Exchange Officer (MMG Scale III): Candidates must be full-time graduates from an AICTE/UGC approved university. A mandatory certificate in Foreign Exchange Operations from IIBF is required. Candidates must have at least 5 years of experience as an officer in a Scheduled Commercial Bank, with 3 years specifically in Trade Finance or Forex operations. The age limit is between 25 and 35 years.

Marketing Officer (JMG Scale I): Candidates require a full-time graduation degree along with a two-year full-time MBA or PGDM with a specialization in Marketing. A minimum of two years of post-qualification experience is required, with at least one year in the marketing domain within the BFSI sector. The age limit for this post is 22 to 30 years.

Selection Process & Salary

The selection will be conducted through an online written test (100 marks) followed by a personal interview (100 marks). The weightage for the written exam and interview will be in the ratio of 70:30. There is no penalty for wrong answers in the objective test.

The pay scale for Scale III (Senior Manager) starts with a basic pay of Rs. 85,920, while Scale I (Assistant Manager) starts at Rs. 48,480, plus applicable perquisites and allowances as per bank policy.

All Other Candidates: Rs. 850/- (Application Fee + Intimation charges)
