Department of Posts India Post GDS Section Branch Postmaster Assistant Branch Postmaster Dak Sevak employment opportunities notice 17-12/2026-GDS Applications are invited from eligible candidates to fill vacant posts of Branch Postmaster (BPM), Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM), and Dak Sevaks across various circles. भारत सरकार, संचार मंत्रालय, डाक विभाग (जीडीएस अनुभाग) ने ग्रामीण डाक सेवक (जीडीएस) ऑनलाइन एंगेजमेंट शेड्यूल-II जुलाई 2026 के लिए अधिसूचना संख्या 17-12/2026-जीडीएस दिनांक 20 अगस्त 2026 जारी की है। विभिन्न मंडलों में शाखा पोस्टमास्टर (बीपीएम), सहायक शाखा पोस्टमास्टर (एबीपीएम) और डाक सेवकों के रिक्त पदों को भरने के लिए पात्र उम्मीदवारों से आवेदन आमंत्रित किए गए हैं। उम्मीदवार आधिकारिक पोर्टल के माध्यम से ऑनलाइन आवेदन कर सकते हैं।

Emoluments & Allowances / पारिश्रमिक और भत्ते:

The GDS are paid Time Related Continuity Allowance (TRCA). Initial basic TRCA slab for BPM is Rs. 12,000/- to Rs. 29,380/- and for ABPM/Dak Sevak is Rs. 10,000/- to Rs. 24,470/-.

जीडीएस को टाइम रिलेटेड कंटिन्यूटी अलाउंस (टीआरसीए) के रूप में पारिश्रमिक का भुगतान किया जाता है। बीपीएम के लिए शुरुआती बुनियादी टीआरसीए स्लैब रु 12,000/- से रु 29,380/- है और एबीपीएम/डाक सेवक के लिए रु 10,000/- से रु 24,470/- है।

Eligibility Criteria / पात्रता मापदंड:

Age limit is 18 to 40 years. Upper age relaxations apply for reserved categories (SC/ST: 5 years, OBC: 3 years, PwBD: 10-15 years). Educational qualification requires passing Secondary School Examination (10th standard) with passing marks in Mathematics and English. The applicant should have studied the local language at least up to 10th Standard. Knowledge of computers, cycling, and adequate means of livelihood are also required.

आयु सीमा 18 से 40 वर्ष है। आरक्षित श्रेणियों के लिए ऊपरी आयु सीमा में छूट लागू है (एससी/एसटी: 5 वर्ष, ओबीसी: 3 वर्ष, पीडब्ल्यूबीडी: 10-15 वर्ष)। शैक्षणिक योग्यता के लिए गणित और अंग्रेजी में उत्तीर्ण अंकों के साथ माध्यमिक स्कूल परीक्षा (10वीं कक्षा) उत्तीर्ण होना आवश्यक है। आवेदक ने कम से कम 10वीं कक्षा तक स्थानीय भाषा पढ़ी होनी चाहिए। कंप्यूटर का ज्ञान, साइकिल चलाना और आजीविका के पर्याप्त साधन भी आवश्यक हैं।

Fee payable is Rs. 100 (Rupees One Hundred only) for all posts in the chosen Division. Fee is exempted for all female applicants, SC/ST, PwBD, and Transwomen applicants. Candidates can modify application details during the 2-day correction window from 23.09.2026 to 24.09.2026.
