Applications are invited on prescribed proforma for the position of Member(s) in Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examinations in accordance with the Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examination Act, 2002.

Eligibility Criteria, Tenure & Remuneration
1. Essential Qualification & Experience:
A candidate shall be eligible for consideration for selection/appointment only if he/she possess following qualification/experience:
- An academician of repute having served in the Union territory of Jammu and Kashmir for not less than 20 years, OR
- A person having served as Special Secretary to the Government or against equivalent post, OR
- A Professor of a University or a College.
2. Upper Age Limit:
- Age of candidate(s) as on 1st January, 2026 shall not exceed 62 years and shall not be subject to any relaxation.
3. Term of Office:
- The appointment of the candidate as Member(s) shall be made on tenure basis up to a maximum of two years.
- The candidate shall be eligible for re-appointment for another such term or until he/she attains the age of 65 years, whichever is earlier.
4. Remuneration:
- The Member(s) shall receive salary/allowances and facilities as per their entitlement.
How to Apply & Important Dates
- Applications duly completed in all respects and accompanied with documentary evidence, on the prescribed proforma, shall be submitted either:

- In Person (Hardcopy): In the office of Commissioner/Secretary to the Government, General Administration Department, Civil Secretariat, Jammu/Srinagar.
- Recommendations made by a Government Department or any University or any other recognized autonomous or statutory institution shall also be treated as applications against the aforementioned posts. Applications and recommendations shall also contain the details of the candidates as specified in the advertisement.
- Last Date of Receipt of Application: 23.08.2026 (Applications received after the cut-off date shall not be entertained).
