Recruitment Details

The Government of Jammu and Kashmir, Office of the Principal, Government Medical College (GMC) Handwara, has released Advertisement Notice No. 13-GMCH of 2026, dated 15/07/2026.

Applications are invited on the prescribed format from Non-PSC/retired persons for engagement as Professors and Associate Professors on an Academic Arrangement basis under S.O. 364 of 2020 dated 27-11-2020. The engagement is initially for a period of one year, extendable up to a maximum of six years (one year at a time, subject to performance and good conduct) or until regular selections/promotions are made. जम्मू और कश्मीर सरकार, प्रधानाचार्य का कार्यालय, सरकारी मेडिकल कॉलेज (GMC) हंदवाड़ा, ने विज्ञापन सूचना संख्या 13-GMCH ऑफ 2026, दिनांक 15/07/2026 जारी की है। S.O. 364 ऑफ 2020 दिनांक 27-11-2020 के तहत अकादमिक व्यवस्था के आधार पर प्रोफेसर और एसोसिएट प्रोफेसर के रूप में नियुक्ति के लिए गैर-पीएससी/सेवानिवृत्त व्यक्तियों से निर्धारित प्रारूप पर आवेदन आमंत्रित किए जाते हैं। यह नियुक्ति प्रारंभ में एक वर्ष की अवधि के लिए होगी, जिसे अधिकतम छह वर्ष (एक बार में एक वर्ष, प्रदर्शन और अच्छे आचरण के अधीन) तक बढ़ाया जा सकता है या जब तक नियमित नियुक्तियां/पदोन्नति नहीं हो जाती।

Minimum Qualification and Teaching Experience: As per the eligibility conditions prescribed vide Govt. Order No. 672-JK(HME) of 2022 Dated 19-09-2022 (available on https://hme.jk.gov.in/).न्यूनतम योग्यता और शिक्षण अनुभव: सरकारी आदेश संख्या 672-JK(HME) ऑफ 2022 दिनांक 19-09-2022 के अनुसार निर्धारित पात्रता शर्तों के अनुसार।
Maximum Age Limit: 67 Years at the time of submitting the application form (63 Years for Dentistry).अधिकतम आयु सीमा: आवेदन पत्र जमा करते समय 67 वर्ष (दंत चिकित्सा/डेंटिस्ट्री के लिए 63 वर्ष)।
Selection Criteria: The selection of the candidates shall be made as per the criteria laid down in G.O. 282-JK(HME) of 2023 Dated: 04-04-2023 read with corrigendum dated: 06-04-2023.चयन मानदंड: उम्मीदवारों का चयन G.O. 282-JK(HME) ऑफ 2023 दिनांक: 04-04-2023 और शुद्धिपत्र दिनांक: 06-04-2023 में निर्धारित मानदंडों के अनुसार किया जाएगा।
Domicile Status: Both Domicile and Non-Domicile Candidates can apply for the posts advertised as per S.O. 296, Dated: 16-05-2024.डोमिसाइल स्थिति: S.O. 296, दिनांक: 16-05-2024 के अनुसार अधिवास (डोमिसाइल) और गैर-अधिवास दोनों उम्मीदवार विज्ञापित पदों के लिए आवेदन कर सकते हैं।

Candidates must submit self-attested photostat copies of the following documents with their application:

MBBS/BDS Degree and State/NMC/DCI Registration Certificate & Post-Graduation degree (MSc.) certificate in the concerned discipline (for non-medical candidates).
MD/MS/MDS/DNB/PhD with additional Qualification Registration Certificate (State/NMC/DCI and UGC in case of non-medical Candidates).
Marks Certificate of each year of MBBS/BDS/MSc.
Any other additional qualifying certificate relevant for eligibility.
Experience Certificate issued by the Competent Authority/Head of the institution.
Professional research publications, published in indexed/national journals.
Proof of writing a book (Foreign Book/National Book) or a book chapter published with ISBN/ISSN, if any.
Proof of oral paper presentation/poster presentation in any National/International seminar/Conference/Workshop.
Proof of Gold Medal for overall first position in prescribed qualification, if any.
Date of Birth Certificate.
An affidavit from a 1st class magistrate stating that he/she is not on the rolls of any other medical college/institution in the country.
No Objection Certificate (NOC) for candidates already working in other medical colleges of UT of J&K on an academic arrangement basis.
