Applications are invited from the eligible candidates for the below mentioned position at Addiction Treatment Facility (ATF) under National Drug Dependence Treatment Centre (NDDTC) at Govt. Medical College, Kathua on Contract basis for a period of one year extendable on yearly basis subject to good performance and conduct or till the continuation of centrally Sponsored Scheme, whichever is earlier.

Note:- Item (1) on Pro-Rata Basis
(In case of tie between MBBS and MD Psychiatry Candidate, the preference shall be given to the MD candidate. However, in case of tie between MBBS candidates, the preference shall be given to the candidate who have secured more marks in MBBS.)
GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:-
Application Form is enclosed as Annexure “A”.
Candidates are advised to go through the terms and conditions before filling up the application form.
The last date for submission of the Application Form completed in all respects along with all the relevant documents in the office of the Principal GMC, Kathua (Administrative Block) before 01:00 pm is on 22.06.2024,
The shortlisting of candidates for the interview/viva voce will be 1:10 times of the respective advertised vacancies as per merit secured by the candidates as per the selection criteria Item
No.(i) mentioned above, and will be notified on the official web site of GMC Kathua https://gmckathua.in/
The candidates shall have to execute a contract agreement with the Principal, GMC Kathua/Nodal Officer ATF that he/she shall not claim for any regular appointment/extension in the department at the time of joining.
No TA/DA shall be paid to the candidates for attending the viva voce/interview.
In case, the last date fixed for receipt of application is declared a holiday, next working day shall be deemed to be last date for receiving the application
The application should be superscripted as APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF MEDICAL OFFICER UNDER ATF wherever applicable.
TERMS & CONDITIONS:
1. The Candidate must be a domicile of UT of J&K.
2. The hiring is purely on contractual basis for a period of one year which will be renewable on year to
year basis subject to good performance and conduct or till the continuation of centrally Sponsored
Scheme, whichever is earlier
3. The appointing authority shall have the right to terminate hiring without assigning any reason.
4. Candidates are requested to submit all the mandatory prescribed/requisite documents alongwith
Application Form well before the Last date to avoid last minute rush. In case the mandatory prescribed/
requisite document is not submitted with the application form, candidature of the applicant is liable to
be rejected without any further notice.
5. Administration of GMC Kathua reserves the right to Increase or Decrease the above-mentioned
number of vacancies listed against each post at any point of time during recruitment process without
prior information to the candidates,
6. Candidates are warned not to furnish any particulars that are false suppress relevant material
information. Candidates found guilty will be debarred from applying for the next 02 years.
7. The candidate shall have to give one month advance notice before leaving the job. The contractual
hiring shall be terminated any time by giving one month advance notice or one month advance
remuneration in lieu of notice.
8. The contractual hiring shall not confer any right on the candidate to claim extension or benefits or
regularization.
