In terms of SO 364 of 2020 dated 27-11-2020, applications on plain paper are invited from non-PSC/retired persons along with duly filled information as per “Annexure A”

enclosed to this notification for engagement as Professors / Associate Professors / Assistant Professors on Academic Arrangement basis in various departments of Govt. Medical College Baramulla, initially for a period of one year, extendable up to maximum of six years (one year at a time and subject to performance and good

conduct) or till the selection/promotion is made in accordance with recruitment rules governing the respective posts, whichever is earlier.

🎯 Eligibility & Age

Eligibility: The Minimum Qualification and Teaching Experience required for the posts of Assistant Professors / Associate Professors / Professor shall be as per the eligibility conditions prescribed vide S.O 285 Dated 18th August 2021

(available on www.gmcbaramulla.ac.in). Maximum age at the time of submitting application form is 67 Years. Non-Domiciles are also eligible to apply for the said posts as per SO 296 dated 16th May 2024.

Application Fee: Application forms complete in all respects, should be accompanied with a non-refundable bank draft for Rs. 500/- (Rupees Five hundred only) pledged to Chief Accounts Officer, Govt. Medical College, Baramulla and payable at J&K Bank, TP Baramulla.

📁 Requisite Documents to be Submitted

• 1. Date of Birth Certificate.
• 2. MBBS Degree or equivalent degree.
• 3. MBBS marks sheet.
• 4. State/MCI Registration Certificate.
• 5. Post-Graduate Degree or Higher Qualification Certificate (D.M/M.Ch./Ph.D.).
• 6. State/MCI Registration Certificate for Post-Graduate Degree or Higher Qualification.
• 7. Experience Certificate issued by the Competent Authority/ Head of the institution.
• 8. Professional publications, published in indexed/national journals as first and corresponding other.
• 9. Proof of paper/poster presentations along with the abstract/full paper published in the proceedings/souvenir of the seminar/conference/workshop.
• 10. Proof of all other credentials claimed as per Annexure A.
• 11. Two recent passport size Photographs.

⚖️ Selection Criteria & Incentives

Selection Criteria: The selection will be made in accordance with the Government order no. 282- JK (HME) of 2023 Dated 04-04-2023 read with Corrigendum to Government Order No. 282-JK(HME) of 2023 Dated: 06.04.2023.

Other terms and Conditions:

• The Professor and Associate Professors so appointed on Academic Arrangement basis in new Government Medical College Baramulla shall also be entitled to additional monthly incentives of Rs. 50,000/- and Rs. 45,000/- respectively.
• The appointee shall also be entitled to house rent allowance (HRA), as applicable to in-service candidates carrying the minimum of pre-revised scale of the post subject to fulfillment of the conditions provided under the relevant rules in this regard.
• The appointments against the advertised posts shall and shall always be on academic arrangement basis only without conferment of any preferential right on the engagee for regular appointment against these posts, which shall be made strictly in accordance with the relevant recruitment rules.
• The appointment on Academic Arrangement basis shall by itself stand terminated on attainment of (70) years of age and (65) years by faculty in Dentistry department.
• The services of an appointee under these rules can be terminated before the expiry of the tenure of appointment with one month’s notice from either side or on payment of one month’s salary in lieu of notice by the appointing authority.

📄 Agreement

The selected candidates shall execute an agreement that;

• He/she will not leave the department before the completion of at least one-year contract.
• That one-month salary will be withheld and shall be released after the successful completion of tenure. In case, the candidate leaves the assignment before one year, his/her one-month salary shall not be released. In case the candidate leaves the assignment after completion of one year he/she has to furnish one-month prior notice falling which one-month salary shall not be released on his/her behalf.
• At the time of joining he/she is not on the rolls of other medical colleges/institution of the country as required by NMC regulations, nor he/she is PSC confirmed.
• The candidate is deemed to be relieved on successful completion of 06 years “or” till permanent faculty member through direct recruitment or promotion, joins on the same post, whichever is earlier.
• Incomplete applications in any respect or not appended with required documents shall be rejected without any notice.
• In case of any dispute, the decision of Chairperson of the Selection Committee shall be final.
