Applications through online mode are invited from eligible candidates for filling up vacant/likely to be vacant posts of Senior Residents / Registrars / Tutors / Demonstrators in the following departments of Government Medical College Baramulla.
These appointments are initially for one year, extendable up to a maximum of three years on the basis of satisfactory performance as reported by the concerned Head of Department.

Documents/Testimonials Required

Candidates must upload the following documents while applying online:

Date of Birth Certificate
MBBS Degree or Equivalent Degree
Marks Cards of all Professional Examinations
State/MCI/NMC Registration Certificates
Post-Graduate Degree Certificate
Additional Qualification Registration Certificate issued by JKMC
Higher Qualification Certificate (D.M/M.Ch.), if applicable
Affidavit duly attested by First Class Judicial Magistrate (Annexure A)
In-Service/PSC candidates must submit NOC from the parent department

Note: Hard copies of the documents must be submitted to the Office of Registrar Academics, GMC Baramulla before the last date.

Application Fee

₹500/- (non-refundable) to be paid online by or before 17-11-2025.

Mode of Selection

Selection will be made based on performance in an MCQ-based written test, strictly as per Government Order No. 383-JK (HME) of 2024 dated 20-06-2024.
Exam dates and details will be announced later on the official GMC Baramulla website.

Terms and Conditions

Fresh candidates who have not completed 3 years of Senior Residency will be preferred.
Applications from experienced candidates (completed 3 years or more) will be provisionally accepted, subject to non-availability of freshers.
In-Service candidates must fulfill all rules under J&K Civil Service Rules 1979 and submit a valid NOC as per Circular No. 03-HME of 2019 dated 27-05-2019.
Eligibility criteria and upper age limit as per NMC Teachers Eligibility Qualifications.
All selections are provisional, subject to eligibility verification.
A waiting list will remain valid for 3 months from the date of the selection list.
Selected candidates must not undertake private practice or other part/full-time jobs.
Selected candidates leaving before completion of tenure will forfeit their security deposit and no experience certificate shall be issued.
