Advertisement for Engagement of Senior Residents / Registrars / Tutors / Demonstrators on Academic Arrangement Basis under S.O. 364 of 2020 dated 27-11-2020 in various departments of Government Medical College Handwara.

Applications, on the prescribed format, are invited from eligible candidates for the posts of Senior Residents / Registrars / Tutors / Demonstrators in the following departments of Govt. Medical College Handwara purely on Academic Arrangement basis under S.O 364 dated 27-11-2020, initially for a period of one year, extendable up to a maximum of three years on the basis of their work conduct/performance as reported by the concerned Head of Department.

Application forms from in-service eligible candidates (PSC) shall be entertained after fulfilment of all pre-requisites, in accordance with relevant rules, as envisaged in the J&K Civil Service Rules 1979 and production of NOC from the parent department.

The application form duly filled along with all the requisite documents and a Demand Draft of Rs. 500 (Rupees Five Hundred) only from Jammu & Kashmir Bank pledged to Chief Accounts Officer, Govt. Medical College Handwara, should be submitted in the Office of Registrar Academics, Govt. Medical College, Handwara.

Last date for submission of application forms: 22-11-2025 (up to 3:00 PM)

Selection Process:

The selection of the candidates for the advertised posts shall be made strictly as per the selection criteria/policy guidelines for eligibility/selection as laid down in Govt. Order No. 383 JK(HME) of 2024, Dated 20-06-2024, and as per vacancy and sanctioned strength as envisaged in Govt. Order No. 307-JK(HME) of 2022 Dated 18-05-2022.

MBBS Degree and State/NMC Registration Certificate
MD/MS/DNB Degree with Additional Qualification Registration Certificate (State/NMC)
Marks Certificates of MBBS (each year)
Higher Qualification Certificate (DM/MCH/DNB)
Any additional qualifying certificate relevant to the post
Date of Birth Certificate
Domicile Certificate
Affidavit (not on the rolls of any other institution)
Service Certificate (for in-service candidates)
NOC/Prior Permission from Administrative Department
Experience certificate (if applicable)
Other documents as deemed necessary

In case applicants possessing the requisite postgraduate degree in the concerned subject are not available, non-PG candidates with one-year experience in the relevant department may be considered. However, the maximum tenure of such engagement shall be one year only or until a PG-qualified candidate becomes available.

Terms and Conditions:

The engagees shall not be entitled to private practice or any other employment.
Selected candidates must execute an agreement not to leave before completion of tenure; otherwise, the security deposit and experience certificate will be forfeited.
The first salary shall be kept as a security deposit and released only upon successful completion of one year.
Maximum age limit: 45 years as on the cutoff date.
Candidates with higher qualifications shall be preferred.
The competent authority reserves the right to amend, cancel, or modify the advertisement without notice.
Submission of documents does not confirm eligibility; candidature is provisional until final verification.
A waiting list shall remain valid for six months from the date of the selection list.
No experience certificate shall be issued if the tenure is abandoned before completion of one year.
