GMC Rajouri Faculty Recruitment 2026: Professor and Assistant Professor Posts

Government Medical College (GMC) Rajouri has announced a significant recruitment drive for faculty positions on a purely academic arrangement basis. This engagement is governed by the rules laid out in S.O. 364 of 2020 dated 27.11.2020. The notification targets eligible candidates who are permanent residents or domiciles of the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir.

The recruitment is open for various disciplines including Anaesthesiology, Anatomy, Biochemistry, General Medicine, and several others. Candidates not currently in government service (Non-PSC) are invited to apply for roles ranging from Professor to Assistant Professor. The selection will be based on assessment criteria defined in Govt. Order No. 282-JK (HME) of 2023.

Terms, Conditions, and Documents

Selected Professors and Associate Professors will be engaged initially for three years, extendable up to six years. Assistant Professors will have an initial one-year term, also extendable up to six years based on performance. The maximum age for submission is determined by S.O. 364 rules, and the service terminates automatically at age 70.

Applicants must attach self-attested copies of the following:

• Date of Birth certificate
• MBBS degree
• Post-graduation degree (if applicable)
• MCI Registration certificate
• Domicile Certificate of UT of J&K
• Affidavit from a 1st Class Judicial Magistrate stating that the applicant is not in active Government service
• Experience certificates
