Applications are invited in the prescribed format from eligible candidates/doctors (Non-PSC) who are domicile of Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir for engagement as Junior Residents (on a tenure basis) in various disciplines of Government Medical College, Rajouri. 
The engagement shall initially be for a period of six (06) months and may be extended up to a maximum period of one (01) year, subject to satisfactory performance.
राजकीय मेडिकल कॉलेज, राजौरी के विभिन्न विषयों में जूनियर रेजिडेंट (कार्यकाल के आधार पर) के रूप में नियुक्ति के लिए जम्मू और कश्मीर केंद्र शासित प्रदेश के अधिवासी पात्र उम्मीदवारों/डॉक्टरों (गैर-पीएससी) से निर्धारित प्रारूप में आवेदन आमंत्रित किए जाते हैं। नियुक्ति शुरू में छह (06) महीनों की अवधि के लिए होगी और संतोषजनक प्रदर्शन के अधीन इसे अधिकतम एक (01) वर्ष की अवधि तक बढ़ाया जा सकता है।

1. HOW TO APPLY: Interested and eligible candidates shall submit the duly filled application form (annexed with this notification) in the office of undersigned on or before 15.10.2026 up to 04:00 PM at Mehra Campus, GMC Rajouri.
1. आवेदन कैसे करें: इच्छुक और पात्र उम्मीदवार अपना पूरी तरह से भरा हुआ आवेदन पत्र (इस अधिसूचना के साथ संलग्न) 15.10.2026 को शाम 04:00 बजे तक मेहरा कैंपस, जीएमसी राजौरी में अधोहस्ताक्षरी के कार्यालय में जमा करेंगे।
The application form completed in all aspects, must be accompanied by a non-refundable application fee of Rs. 500/- (Rupees Five Hundred Only) in the form of a Bank Draft in favour of “Principal, GMC Rajouri” from any J&K Bank Branch.
सभी पहलुओं में पूर्ण आवेदन पत्र के साथ किसी भी जेएंडके बैंक शाखा से “प्रिंसिपल, जीएमसी राजौरी” के पक्ष में बैंक ड्राफ्ट के रूप में 500/- रुपये (केवल पांच सौ रुपये) का गैर-वापसी योग्य आवेदन शुल्क होना चाहिए।

Applications received after the prescribed last date and time or submitted through any mode other than the prescribed mode shall not be entertained.

2. MODE OF SELECTION: Selection of candidates shall be made strictly on the basis of merit secured in the Written Examination/Screening Test. The date, time and venue of the Written Examination/Screening Test shall be notified separately through the official website of Government Medical College, Rajouri.

3. MBBS Marks Certificates of all Professional Examinations.
4. Internship Completion Certificate.
5. Attempt Certificate.
6. MBBS Degree Certificate.
7. Domicile Certificate of the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir.
8. FMGE Screening Test Certificate (where applicable).
9. Registration Certificate issued by the Jammu & Kashmir Medical Council/National Medical Commission, as applicable.
10. Certificates relating to Distinctions, Honours, Medals, National Scholarships, Academic Merit/Sports Certificate/Medals or any other academic achievements, if any.

4. TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
1. The appointees shall be paid remuneration/salary as admissible under the relevant rules in force from time to time.
2. Any appointed/serving Junior Resident intending to resign from service shall be required to give one month’s prior notice duly forwarded by the concerned Head of Department.
3. No experience certificate shall be issued to any Junior Resident who has rendered service for a period of less than six (06) months.
4. No TA/DA shall be admissible for appearing in the Written Examination/Screening Test or for joining the institution.
5. The appointees shall not be entitled to private practice or undertake any part-time or full-time employment elsewhere during the tenure of their engagement. They shall be required to work on a full-time basis.
6. The Competent Authority reserves the right to amend, modify, withdraw, cancel or alter any condition of this advertisement, either wholly or partly, at any stage without assigning any reason and without prior notice.
7. Mere submission of an application form and supporting documents shall not confer any right upon a candidate for consideration or selection. The candidature of all applicants shall remain provisional and may be cancelled at any stage if found ineligible or if any information furnished by the candidate is found to be incorrect.
8. The Written Examination/Screening Test shall be conducted against the posts that are vacant or likely to fall vacant. However, the institution reserves the right to increase, decrease, alter or withdraw the number of vacancies or decides not to fill any or all vacancies at any stage of the selection process without issuing any further notice.
9. The salary of the provisionally selected candidates shall be drawn only after verification of all requisite documents and satisfactory character and antecedent report (CID verification).
10. The selection and engagement of candidates shall remain subject to the outcome of any writ petition pending before any competent court of law.
11. If any declaration made or information furnished by a candidate is found to be false, fabricated or deliberately suppressed, his/her engagement shall be cancelled ab-initio and further action as warranted under rules shall be initiated.

1. नियुक्त व्यक्तियों को समय-समय पर लागू प्रासंगिक नियमों के तहत स्वीकार्य पारिश्रमिक/वेतन का भुगतान किया जाएगा। 2. सेवा से इस्तीफा देने के इच्छुक किसी भी नियुक्त/सेवारत जूनियर रेजिडेंट को संबंधित विभागाध्यक्ष द्वारा विधिवत अग्रेषित एक महीने का पूर्व नोटिस देना अनिवार्य होगा। 3. छह (06) महीने से कम अवधि के लिए सेवा देने वाले किसी भी जूनियर रेजिडेंट को कोई अनुभव प्रमाण पत्र जारी नहीं किया जाएगा। 4. लिखित परीक्षा/स्क्रीनिंग टेस्ट में शामिल होने या संस्थान में शामिल होने के लिए कोई टीए/डीए स्वीकार्य नहीं होगा। 5. नियुक्त व्यक्ति अपने कार्यकाल के दौरान निजी प्रैक्टिस या कहीं और कोई अंशकालिक या पूर्णकालिक रोजगार करने के हकदार नहीं होंगे। उन्हें पूर्णकालिक आधार पर काम करना होगा। 6. सक्षम प्राधिकारी को बिना कोई कारण बताए और बिना किसी पूर्व सूचना के किसी भी चरण में इस विज्ञापन की किसी भी शर्त में संशोधन, परिवर्तन, वापस लेने, रद्द करने या बदलने का अधिकार सुरक्षित है।
5. NOTE:
1. Incomplete application forms not accompanied by the requisite documents shall be rejected without any further notice or communication.
2. In the event of a tie in merit between two or more candidates in the Written Examination/Screening Test, preference shall be given to the candidate securing higher aggregate percentage marks in MBBS.
3. In case the tie still persists, preference shall be given to the candidate who is older in age.
4. Candidates are advised to regularly visit the official website of GMC Rajouri for updates regarding the examination schedule, selection process and other notices.
