Applications on prescribed format are invited from eligible female candidates of the below-mentioned Panchayat/Municipal Wards for engagement as Sanginis (Anganwadi Workers) and Sahayikas (Anganwadi Helpers) under the 5th Phase in Anganwadi Centres of POSHAN Project Gandhi Nagar, Jammu, purely on honorarium basis.

This recruitment is in pursuance to Government Order No. 222-JK (SWD) of 2022 dated 30-11-2022 and 103-JK (SWD) of 2023 dated 28-04-2023, and approval accorded by Mission Director, POSHAN, J&K vide letter No. SMD/POSHAN/47173-85/2025 dated 24-12-2025.

VACANCY DETAILS

Unit of selection for Sanginis / Sahayikas shall be the electoral ward of the concerned Panchayat/Municipality.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

I. For Selection of Sanginis (Anganwadi Workers)

• Gender/Age: Female candidates aged 18–37 years as on 01-01-2026
• Domicile: Must be a domicile of UT of J&K
• Residence: Resident of the electoral ward of the Anganwadi Centre
(Name in voter list is mandatory; unmarried candidates living with parents must submit a Tehsildar certificate)
• Qualification: Minimum 10+2 and Maximum Graduation
(Candidates with higher qualifications than Graduation will not be considered)
• Selection: Purely on merit based on marks obtained in 10+2
• Preference: 2% additional weightage to family members of retiring AWW/AWH

II. For Selection of Sahayikas (Anganwadi Helpers)

• Gender/Age: Female candidates aged 18–37 years as on 01-01-2026
• Domicile: Must be a domicile of UT of J&K
• Qualification: Minimum Matriculation (10th pass);
If no matriculate candidate is available, 8th pass candidates may be considered
• Selection: Based on merit of 10th class marks
• Preference: First preference to married women of the ward
