Engagement of Guest Faculty for Academic Session May–June 2026
Government Polytechnic College Bandipora has invited applications from eligible candidates for engagement of Guest Faculty on a purely temporary basis for the academic session May–June 2026.
The engagement will remain valid for one academic or semester session or till the posts are filled by regular faculty, whichever is earlier.
Posts Available
Guest Lecturer – Mechanical Engineering
Minimum Qualification:
B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university with at least 55% aggregate marks.
Desirable:
In case of a tie in the final merit score, preference shall be given to candidates with higher qualifications and greater teaching experience.
Guest Lecturer – Travel Tourism and Hospitality Management
Eligible Qualifications:
Category (i):
Bachelor’s Degree with 55% marks in the appropriate branch or discipline from a recognized institution or university.
Category (ii):
Bachelor’s Degree in Arts, Science, or Commerce with a first-class diploma in the relevant discipline.
Category (iii):
Diploma holders (first class) in the appropriate branch from a recognized institution.
Preference will be given first to Category (i) candidates. If no suitable candidate is available, Category (ii) will be considered, followed by Category (iii).
Selection Criteria
80 points for basic qualification.
05 points for higher qualification.
05 points for teaching experience at polytechnic, diploma, or higher level, calculated on a pro-rata basis (01 point per academic year).
05 points for GATE, NET, or PhD qualification.
05 points for interaction or interview.
Remuneration
Selected Guest Faculty will be paid remuneration at the rate of Rs. 750 per hour per lecture, subject to a maximum ceiling of Rs. 20,000 per month.
