The Government Dental College & Hospital (GDC&H) Srinagar has released an official ADVERTISEMENT NOTICE inviting online application forms from eligible candidates for the tenure posts of Registrar / Tutor under Government Order No. 383-JK(HME) of 2024 dated: 20-06-2024.

These positions are available in various dental disciplines for a period of one (1) year in the first instance, extendable on a year-to-year basis up to a maximum of three (3) years, subject to satisfactory work and conduct certificates from the concerned Head of Department (HOD).

Application Process and Important Dates

The application process shall be completed and submitted in the online mode only. Applicants are directed to visit the official website of the institution: www.gdcsrinagar.org for the submission of their application forms.

The link for online applications will be available from 15.01.26 to 30.01.26 (upto 03:00 PM). Candidates are also advised to upload the fee receipt after depositing the fee in any J&K Bank Branch. The requisite fee for the Registrar/Tutor post is Rs. 700/=.

Eligibility Conditions and Selection Guidelines

Selection will be made as per Government Order No’s. 382-JK(HME) and 383-JK(HME) of 2024. In-service doctors are allowed to participate only with prior permission from the Administrative Department as per the guidelines issued by the Govt. vide Order No. 164-ME of 2012 and subsequent circulars.

Candidates who have appeared in the final examination of the Postgraduate course (MDS) are also eligible to apply. However, they must produce the MDS Degree Certificate or Provisional Certificate within 21 days from the date of issuance of the selection list.

Those who have already completed their tenure or are currently working as Registrar/Tutor/Sr. Resident in any institution within or outside the UT of J&K need not apply. Similarly, those who were appointed earlier but did not complete their tenure are not eligible.

Terms of Engagement

The selected candidates must execute an agreement stating they will not leave the department before the completion of six months of tenure. Abandoning the post after six months requires a one-month prior notice; otherwise, one month’s salary shall not be paid. The date for the written examination will be notified separately on the official website.
