The Office of the Principal, Government Medical College Baramulla (GMC Baramulla), has released an official advertisement for the recruitment of Senior Residents, Registrars, Tutors, and Demonstrators. This recruitment drive aims to fill various vacancies across multiple clinical and non-clinical departments on a tenure basis.

As per the Advertisement Notice No. 13 RA of 2025 dated 27-12-2025, applications are invited through online mode from eligible candidates. The engagement is initially for a period of one year, extendable up to a maximum of three years based on performance and conduct.

Affidavit duly attested by a First Class Judicial Magistrate (Format as Annexure A).
In-Service/PSC candidates must submit an NOC from their parent department.

Mode of Selection and Eligibility

Selection will be based on an MCQ-based written test, strictly as per Government Order No. 383-JK (HME) of 2024. The dates and further details regarding the examination will be updated on the official website.

Candidates who have already completed a Senior Residency for a period of 03 years or more are not eligible to apply. The age limit and eligibility criteria follow the recent Teachers Eligibility Qualifications in Medical Institutions Regulations of the NMC.

Terms and Conditions

Selected candidates will work on a full-time basis and are strictly prohibited from private practice. The first month’s salary will be retained as a security deposit and released only upon successful completion of the tenure. Leaving the department before the completion of the sanctioned tenure will result in the forfeiture of the security deposit and no experience certificate will be issued.
