The Government Medical College Srinagar (GMC) has officially released an advertisement notification for the recruitment of Tenure Posts for Fellowship in Neonatology. This prestigious fellowship is based at the 500 Bedded Children Hospital, which is a premier healthcare facility in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir.

The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at the Postgraduate Department of Pediatrics, GMC Srinagar, is highly regarded and is accredited by the National Neonatology Forum (NNF) of India as a Level IIIA NICU. About the Pediatric Facilities at GMC Srinagar

The Government Children Hospital, an associated hospital of GMC Srinagar, is a massive 500-bed facility dedicated to pediatric care. It houses various subspecialties including Pediatric Cardiology, Gastroenterology, Hematology, Ophthalmology, Surgery, and Neurology.

The Postgraduate Department of Pediatrics is recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC) and offers 17 MD Pediatrics seats annually. The Division of Neonatology is split into out-born and inborn units, featuring advanced medical equipment such as HFOVs, bubble CPAPs, high-end incubators, and in-house Echocardiography/Ultrasonography machines.

How to Apply for GMC Srinagar Fellowship

Eligible candidates must register and fill out the application form on the official website: https://www.gmcs.ac.in/. The process involves a One Time Registration (OTR) where personal, contact, and educational details must be entered.

Candidates are required to upload scanned copies of original certificates in PDF format (max 1 MB). Photograph, signature, and thumb impressions must be in JPEG/JPG format (max 700KB). A non-refundable application fee of ₹1,000/- is payable online via Net Banking, UPI, or Cards.

Selection Process and Examination

The selection will be strictly based on a written test. The test will consist of 60 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) to be completed in one hour. In case of a tie in marks, preference will be given based on MBBS percentage and age (older candidates preferred).
