The Government Medical College (GMC), Rajouri, invites applications from eligible candidates (PSC and Non‑PSC) who are permanent residents/domicile of the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir for engagement as Senior Resident/Registrar in various disciplines. The engagement is purely on an Academic Arrangement basis, initially for a period of one year, extendable up to a maximum of three years subject to satisfactory performance.

Applications on the prescribed format are invited from eligible candidates/doctors (PSC and Non‑PSC) who are permanent residents/domicile of UT of J&K for engagement as Senior Resident/Registrar in various disciplines of Government Medical College, Rajouri, purely on Academic Arrangement basis initially for a period of one (01) year extendable up to maximum of three (03) years subject to satisfactory performance.

Interested candidates can fill the application form annexed with this notification and submit the same to the office of the undersigned by or before 26.09.2026 (04:00 PM). The application form complete in all aspects should be accompanied with a non‑refundable bank draft of Rs. 500/- from J&K Bank in favour of Principal, Govt. Medical College, Rajouri, into the account mentioned below:

The application form along with requisite self‑attested documents should reach the office of the undersigned by registered post or by hand on or before 26.09.2026 up to 04:00 PM at Mehra Campus, GMC Rajouri.

For PSC (In‑service) Candidates:

• The in‑service doctor shall be paid salary as per their LPC.
• They shall be allowed to participate only with prior permission of the Administrative Department as per latest NOCs and need to route applications through the Administrative Department.
• In case of selection, they will be allowed to join only after being relieved from their Administrative Department.

For Non‑PSC Candidates:

• Non‑PSC doctors shall be engaged on consolidated pay equal to the revised basic pay corresponding to the minimum of the pre‑revised scale for Medical Officer as per SRO 193 dated 24.04.2018 + dearness allowance.
• They shall be entitled to house rent allowance as applicable to in‑service candidates, subject to conditions.
• No other monetary benefits shall be given.

📄 Required Documents (Self‑Attested)

1. 02 passport size photographs.
2. Date of Birth Certificate (10th Diploma/Mark sheet/any other).
3. MBBS all terms marks sheets and degree.
4. Diploma/MD/MS/DNB/Mch/DM all terms marks sheets and qualification of the respective specialty (Mandatory).
5. Attempt certificate of 1st, 2nd, Pre‑final and Final MBBS issued by concerned Universities.
6. MCI/NMC or State Medical Council registration certificate.
7. Internship completion certificate.
8. Distinction/National scholarship/Honours/Medals/Academic Merit Certificate if any.
9. House‑Job (Jr.) certificate issued by concerned Principal or Equivalent authority.
10. FMGE certificate in case of MBBS degree from outside the country.
11. Professional publications in a standard medical Journal, if any.
12. Affidavit duly attested by the 1st Class Magistrate to the effect that he/she has neither completed nor doing and never left the Registrarship/Senior Residency/Demonstratorship midway in any discipline within J&K UT or outside.
13. NOC from Administrative Department, Health & Medical Education, in case of in‑service (PSC) candidates.

⚖️ Terms & Conditions

• The decision of the Selection Committee shall be final and binding.
• Maximum tenure of Senior Resident/Registrar shall be three (03) years – no extension beyond.
• Candidature remains provisional until verification of documents from issuing authorities.
• If documents are found incorrect/false, candidature shall be cancelled and legal action initiated.
• Selected appointee shall submit an affidavit at joining, affirming that he/she will not leave mid‑way.
• Appointment is purely tenure‑based, no preferential right for regular appointment.
• Candidates who have already completed/are doing/left registrarship midway in any discipline need not apply.
• One month’s prior notice is required to leave; failing which one month’s salary shall be forfeited.
• The department reserves the right to withdraw/alter/fill any vacancy at any stage without further notice.
• Incomplete applications shall be rejected without communication.
