The eligible candidates are invited for Walk-In-Interview on 11.03.2024 at 11.00 AMatICAR-CITH, Srinagar for the temporary position of Senior Research Fellow (SRF) under different scheme purely on contractual basis.

Essential Qualification:-

Masters degree in Plant Molecular Biology/Biotechnology/Agriculture/ Horticulture with 4/5years of Bachelor’s degree. Candidates having postgraduate degree in Basic Sciences with 3 years of Bachelors degree and 2 years of Masters degree should have NET Qualifications and two years of research experience as mentioned in OM No. Edn. 6/27/2014/HRD dated 13 July, 2015, OM No.Agril.Edn.6/27/2014-HRD 9th October, 2015 ofthe Council and OM SR/S9/Z-09/2018 of DST dated 30 January 2019.

Desirable:-

Research experience in cloning, transformation, bioinformatics, gene sequence analysis and plant

transformation

Rs. 35,000/- +18% HRA.

M.Sc. in Horticulture (Vegetable Science/Floriculture), Genetics & Plant Breeding. Desirable Qualification:-

Experience in DUS testing, Phenotyping.

NOTE:-

The age limit for SRF will be (35 years) for Men & (40 years) for Women as on 01.03.2024. Age relaxation will be give as per the rules of Gol/ICAR. The SRF are allowed to avail Casual Leave (CL) & Restricted Holidays (RH) as per rules of Gol/ICAR.

In addition to CL & RH the SRF can avail the Special Casual Leave (SPCL) but not exceeding 10 days in a year, to meet unforeseen circumstances. Selected candidates for the position of Senior Research Fellow will be paid emoluments as per norms of Gol/ICAR.

No Objection Certificate from the employer/University, in case he/she is employed.

Candidate is engaged on need basis (contractual) and can be discontinued at any time when such need is not there.

Initially the candidates shall be engaged for one year, however, extendable to another term subject to his/her performance.

The appointment of Senior Research Fellow (SRF) would be on full time basis and he/she would not be permitted to take up any other assignment during the period of engagement with ICAR/ICAR-CITH, Srinagar. The selected candidates shall not claim for any regular appointment as the positions are purely temporary.

No TA/DA will be paid for attending the Walk-in-Interview. The Director, ICAR-CITH, Srinagar reserves the right to terminate his/her services without any notice at any time and the decision of the Director, ICAR-CITH, Srinagar will be final and binding in all respect.

Candidates shall bring original qualification at the time of interview for verification along with one full copy of mark sheets duly self attested, publications, experience, and other documents.

The appointee shall give a two month prior intimation, in case he/she intends to leave the engagement and shall submit a complete report to the satisfaction of Principal Investigator before resignation.
