WALK-IN-INTERVIEW

The eligible candidates are invited for the Walk-in-Interview on 25.11.2025 at ICAR-Central Institute of Temperate Horticulture, Srinagar for the temporary position(s) of Young Professional-I (YP-I) purely on a contractual basis, initially for a period up to 01 (One) year or till sanction of the project and availability of funds, whichever is earlier. The tenure can be extended further on the basis of satisfactory performance of the individuals and fund availability from the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), New Delhi.

The candidates who fulfill the requisite qualification as indicated below should bring their brief bio-data (neatly typed), experience certificates, along with original and attested photocopies of qualification certificates and passport size photographs for verification and submission.

Selection Process:

60 Marks for Essential Qualification
10 Marks for Post Graduation
10 Marks for Experience (02 Marks for each completed year)
20 Marks for Personal Interview

Note:

Maximum age is 21–45 years; relaxation as per GOI guidelines.
The YP-I is allowed to avail Casual Leave (CL) & Restricted Holiday (RH) as per rules of GOI/ICAR.
Selected candidates will be paid emoluments as per norms of GOI/ICAR.
No Objection Certificate (NOC) required from the employer/University, if employed.
Engagement is purely contractual and need-based; it can be discontinued anytime as per requirement.
Initial engagement will be up to 01 (One) year.
Appointment is full-time, and no other assignment is allowed during the engagement period.
The selected candidate cannot claim regular appointment as the position is purely temporary.
No TA/DA will be paid for attending the Walk-in-Interview.
The Director, ICAR-CITH, Srinagar reserves the right to terminate services without notice; the Director’s decision will be final and binding.
Candidates must bring original qualification certificates, self-attested mark sheets, publications, experience, and other relevant documents.
Appointees must give two months’ prior intimation if they intend to leave the engagement and submit a complete report to the satisfaction of the Principal Investigator before resignation.
