ADVERTISEMENT NOTICE

Applications on the prescribed proforma (Annexure-I) are invited from eligible female candidates of the respective Panch Wards / Municipal Wards for engagement as Sanginis (Anganwadi Workers – AWWs) and Sahayikas (Anganwadi Helpers – AWHs) for various Anganwadi Centres under POSHAN Project Sopore, on honorarium basis.

Applications along with required documents must be submitted in person at the Office of the Child Development Project Officer, Sopore, on or before 17-01-2026 up to 4:30 PM, against proper receipt.

Eligibility Criteria & Selection Process

Selection shall be governed by Government Order No. 103-JK (SWD) of 2023 dated 28-04-2023.

Gender & Age: Only female candidates aged 18–37 years as on 01-01-2026
Domicile: Must be a domicile of UT of J&K and a resident of the concerned Panch/MC Ward
Qualification (Sahayika/AWH):
- Minimum Matriculation
- If no matriculate is available, 8th pass candidates may be considered
Qualification (Sangini/AWW):
- Minimum 10+2 pass
- Maximum qualification Graduation (candidates above graduation not eligible)
Marital Status (AWH): Preferably married; unmarried candidates may be considered if no married candidate is available
Selection Basis: Purely merit-based (academic merit for AWWs)
Interview: No interview shall be conducted
Tie-Breaker: Higher age will be preferred in case of equal merit

Domicile Certificate issued by Tehsildar
Date of Birth Certificate
Academic Qualification Certificates
- 10th marks card (AWH)
- 10+2 marks card (AWW)
Ration Card / e-ticket
Marital Status Certificate (Unmarried certificate from Tehsildar if applicable)
Non-Employment Certificate from a Gazetted Officer
Affidavit from First-Class Magistrate stating documents are genuine and applicant is aware of HR Policy No. 222-JK(SWD) of 2022
