Recruitment Notification – Islamic University of Science & Technology Awantipora

The Islamic University of Science & Technology (IUST), Awantipora, Kashmir has issued a Re-Advertisement Notice inviting applications for a Project Associate-I position under the Interdisciplinary Science and Research Program for Chronic Disease, sponsored by DST-PURSE.

This recruitment is purely project-based and aims to strengthen advanced research in Artificial Intelligence, particularly in the areas of medical imaging and genomic data analysis.

Essential Qualifications

Candidates must possess:

• Master’s Degree in Computer Science / Computer Applications / Information Technology / Artificial Intelligence / M.Tech CSE or equivalent.
• Minimum two years of research experience in the broader domain of Artificial Intelligence, with a strong conceptual and practical understanding of AI methodologies and applications.

Desirable Qualifications

Preference will be given to candidates with:

• Proven expertise in Deep Learning and Machine Learning, including neural network architectures, optimization techniques, and evaluation metrics.
• Specialized experience in medical imaging and genomic data analysis, with the ability to design and validate algorithms for healthcare-related datasets.
• Strong programming skills in Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or other AI-focused libraries.
• Prior publications in reputed journals or conferences and effective written and verbal communication skills.

Emoluments

• Rs. 27,000 + HRA for candidates selected through CSIR-UGC NET (including Assistant Professorship), GATE, or national-level examinations conducted by central government bodies.
• Rs. 25,000 + HRA for candidates not falling under the above category.
