REVISED ADVERTISEMENT NOTICE
Applications are invited from highly motivated and eligible candidates for the position of Research Assistant (RA) under the project titled “Insulation of concrete house in Kashmir: A thermo-economic analysis.”
The project is sanctioned by the J&K Science Technology & Innovation Council, Department of Science and Technology, Government of Jammu and Kashmir, in favour of Dr. Mahvash Afzal (Principal Investigator), Assistant Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Islamic University of Science and Technology. The position is temporary and co-terminus with the project.

| Eligibility | Essential qualification: B.Tech/M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering with 60% marks or equivalent. Preference will be given to candidates possessing GATE/Master’s qualification or expertise in Thermal Science. |
| Duration | Initially till 29th January 2026, extendable based on performance and continuation of the project. |

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS
i. The position is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project; candidates cannot claim regular appointments in the University.
ii. The University reserves the right to terminate the contract of non-performing candidates at any time without notice.
iii. Eligible candidates must bring all original testimonials/certificates and one attested copy at the time of interview.
iv. No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview.
v. Candidates must produce original documents related to qualification and experience during the interview.
vi. The University reserves the right to defer or not to fill the advertised post without assigning any reason.
vii. If a candidate wishes to withdraw, a one-month notice or one-month salary is required.
viii. The terms and conditions of service shall be governed by the University and/or funding agency regulations, with amendments as applicable.
