The Department of Environment, Sustainability & Climate Change at Islamic University of Science & Technology (IUST), Kashmir has issued a Re-Advertisement Notice for a research-backed vacancy. Online applications are invited from highly motivated and eligible candidates for the temporary position of Project Assistant (PA). The position is open under an environmental project titled “Geospatial model for Real Time Monitoring of Construction Activity within and around Dal-Nageen Lake, Khushalsar and Brarinambal lagoon of Srinagar City, J&K”. This research project is officially sponsored by the JKST&IC, Department of Science & Technology, Government of J&K. The job engagement is strictly temporary for a period of only one year or co-terminus with the project, whichever is earlier. Candidates meeting the essential qualifications in geospatial and environmental streams are encouraged to submit their credentials.

According to the layout rules, the engagement is purely temporary and candidates shall not claim regular appointments at the University. Candidates will need to produce original certificates along with a hard copy of the application form and self-attested photocopies of testimonials at the time of the interview. A practical evaluation of GIS software skills will also be conducted during the interview session.
