Online applications invited from eligible candidates for engagement as Assistant Professor (contractual) on academic arrangement in the following subjects

Eligibility

A Master’s degree with 55% marks (50% in case of SC/ST/OBC (non creamy layer) or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever the grading system is followed in a concerned/ relevant/allied subject from an indian University, an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.

(1) Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or the CSIR, or a similar test accredited by the UGC the SLET/SET or who have been awarded a Ph. D. Degree is accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil/Ph.D Degree) Regulations, 2009 or 2016 and their amendments from time to time a case may be

Note: NET/SLET/SET shall also not be required for such Masters Programmes in dociplines for which NET/SLET/SET is not conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC ke SLET/SET

The Ph.D degree has been obtained from a foreign university/institution with a ranking among top 500 in the World University Ranking at any time) by any one of the following: (1) Quacquarelli Symonds (05) () the Times Higher Education (THE) or (ii) the Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) of the Shanghai liao Tong University (Shanghai)

(i) A Master’s degree with 55% marks (50% in case of SC/ST/OBC (non creamy layer) or an equivalent grade in a point-scale wherever the grading system is followed in Computer Science & Engineering/Computer Science/ Artificial Inteligence/Software Engineering/Data Science or an equivalent degree in relevant/allied subjects from an Indian University, or an equivalent. degree from an accredited foreign university.

As per University norms applicable IV. How to Apply:

The eligible candidate can apply online and deposit fee of Rs. 300/- online and submit the downloaded application form and supported by attested copies of all relevant documents, certificates, and testimonials in the Concerned Department/Centre of IUST on any working day by or before the last date (except Saturday/ Sunday/ holiday) for submission of hardcopies, failing which the online application form submitted by the candidates shall not be considered. V. Selection procedure:

The shortlisting of the candidates for interview shall be made as per the criteria / parameters of UGC Regulations-2018 (Appendix II (Table 3A) and the criteria for shortlisting of candidates for interview for the post of Assistant Professor shall be as follows: “20 candidates shall be shortlisted for one post and 05 candidates for every additional post”, and the final Selection shall be made strictly in terms of the UGC Regulations 2018 (interview only).
