Applications are invited from highly motivated and eligible candidates for the postion of Project Assistant to study
“Nanomaterial reinforced smart tri-azole based hydrogel systems for removal of Antibiotics, Polyaromatic
hydrocarbons and Toxic Heavy metal lons” approved by JKST&IC to Dr Aabid Hussain Shalla (PI) Department of
Chemistry lUST. The research study involves design & synthesis of azide and alkyne functionalised polymers of
environmental interest for performing click reactions. The detais &requirements for this position are given below:
M.Sc. Chemistry: Minimum 55% or equivalent CGPA for OM (Relaxation for

Consolidated Emoluments
Rs 10,000/- per month
Terms and Conditions of Job
Temporary for 01 year only from the date of joining.
Knowledge of synthesis of Hydrogels: Hand on experience on instruments like
Rheometer, FTIR and UV-Vis spectrophotometer
