The Jammu & Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has officially published its major Advertisement Notification No. 04 of 2026, announcing direct recruitment opportunities across a wide array of UT, Divisional, and District Cadre vacancies. This notification encompasses strategic postings distributed among several leading administrative wings of the Jammu and Kashmir Government.

Core Criteria Summary:
- Domicile Rule: Candidates must be valid Domiciles of the UT of Jammu & Kashmir and possess a valid Domicile Certificate issued by a competent authority on or before the cut-off date.
- Age Limits (As on 01.01.2026): Maximum age for Open Merit (OM) is 40 years; for SC, ST, RBA, ALC/IB, EWS, and OBC categories, it is 43 years; for Physically Challenged Persons, it is 42 years; and for Ex-Servicemen, it is 48 years.
- Application Fee Structure: General category applicants must pay a fee of Rs. 600. Candidates belonging to SC, ST-1, ST-2, EWS, and PwBD categories are eligible for a reduced fee of Rs. 500. Fees are payable strictly via online gateways.
- Scheme & Negative Marking: The evaluation will be conducted via an Objective Type examination with Multiple Choice Questions in English, with a negative marking of 0.25 marks for every incorrect answer.
