Applications are invited from eligible female candidates for engagement as Anganwadi Workers (Sanginis) and Anganwadi Helpers (Sahayikas) on an honorarium basis for various Anganwadi Centres under the POSHAN Project, Jammu.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

A. For Anganwadi Workers (AWW – Sanginis)

• Domicile: Candidate must be a domicile of UT of J&K
• Age: 18 to 37 years as on 01-01-2026
• Residence: Candidate must be a resident of the electoral ward where the Anganwadi Centre is located (name must appear in voter list).
Unmarried candidates living with parents must submit a certificate from the Tehsildar.
• Qualification: Minimum 10+2 and Maximum Graduation
Candidates possessing qualification higher than Graduation shall not be considered.
• Selection: Purely on merit basis (marks obtained in 10+2)

B. For Anganwadi Helpers (AWH – Sahayikas)

• Residence: Selection restricted to the electoral ward of the Anganwadi Centre
• Age: 18 to 37 years as on 01-01-2026
• Qualification: Minimum Matriculation (10th pass).
If no matriculate candidate is available, 8th pass candidates may be considered.
• Selection: Preference shall be given to the most destitute/needy married woman.
If not available, unmarried candidates may be considered.

The recruitment is being conducted under Mission POSHAN / ICDS to strengthen grassroots nutrition and child development services in Jammu. Residency in the respective ward is a mandatory requirement.
