Advertisement for Recruitment of Sanginis (Anganwadi Workers) in Anganwadi Centres of POSHAN Project Tangmarg
Applications on the prescribed proforma (Annexure-I) are invited from eligible female candidates of the Panch Wards mentioned below for engagement as Sanginis (Anganwadi Workers) in Anganwadi Centres of POSHAN Project Tangmarg on Honorarium Basis.
The application form along with required documents must be submitted to the Office of the Child Development Project Officer, POSHAN Tangmarg.

Eligibility Criteria & Selection Process
Selection shall be made strictly as per Govt. Order No. 222-JK(SWD) of 2022 (30-11-2022) and Govt. Order No. 103-JK(SWD) of 2023 (28-04-2023).
- Gender & Age:
Only female candidates aged 18–37 years as on 01-01-2026 - Domicile:
Must be a domicile of UT of Jammu & Kashmir - Residence:
Must be a resident of the Electoral Ward where the Anganwadi Centre is located - Qualification:
- Minimum: 10+2
- Maximum: Graduation
- Selection Basis:
- Purely on 10+2 academic merit
- No interview
- Additional Weightage:
- 2% extra if candidate belongs to the family of a retired Anganwadi Worker (AWW)
- Tie-Breaker Rule:
- Candidate with higher age will be preferred

- Unmarried Certificate from Tehsildar (if applicable)
- Domicile Certificate
- Date of Birth Certificate
- 10+2 Marks Card & Certificates
- Proof of belonging to family of retired AWW (if applicable)
- Non-Employment Certificate from Gazetted Officer
- Self-addressed envelope with ₹5 postage stamp
- Affidavit from First-Class Magistrate confirming correctness of information

The POSHAN Abhiyaan (formerly ICDS) is a flagship Government of India program aimed at improving nutritional outcomes for children, pregnant women, and lactating mothers. Under the J&K Social Welfare Department, Sanginis (Anganwadi Workers) are engaged at the grassroots level on an honorarium basis.
For Tangmarg recruitment, residency within Ward 07 of Khipora or Hayatpora is mandatory. Selection is merit-based, making strong 12th-class academic performance crucial.
