Advertisement for UT/Divisional/District Cadre posts of Drivers in various Indenting Departments, Jammu & Kashmir

The Jammu & Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) invites online application forms from eligible candidates for selection to 107 posts of Driver/Driver Grade-II posts (UT, Divisional, and District Cadre) in various departments. The detailed breakdown is available in the official notification and Annexure-A.

Important Dates:

• Date of Commencement for submission of Online Applications: 13.10.2025
• Last Date for submission of Online Applications: 11.11.2025

Eligibility, Age and Qualification:

• Domicile: Candidate must be a domicile of the UT of Jammu & Kashmir and must possess a valid Domicile Certificate as prescribed on or before 11.11.2025.
• Age: Maximum age limit (as on 01.01.2025): OM – 40 years; Reserved categories (SC, ST, OBC, RBA, ALC/IB, EWS) – 43 years; Ex-Servicemen – 48 years; Govt servants/contractual – 40 years (see official notification for details).
• Qualification: Minimum Matric and maximum 10+2 with valid HGV/PSV Driving Licence. For all driver posts, selection is through written/OMR test (merit only), with mandatory qualifying driving test for eligibility to appear in written.
• Reservation: Category-wise breakup as per rules in the notification. Only those with valid certificates as on the cut-off date can claim reservation.
• Persons with Benchmark Disabilities: Not eligible for these posts.

Application Fee and Mode:

• Rs. 600/- (General/OM); Rs. 500/- (SC/ST/EWS)
• To be paid online only via Net Banking, Credit or Debit card.
• Fee once paid will not be refunded.

Selection Process:

• Written/OMR Based Test (English only; objective type; negative marking of 1/4 for each wrong answer)
• Qualified Driving Test is compulsory before appearing for the written examination
• Final selection on merit in the written/OMR

Scheme of Exam & Syllabus: Will be notified separately; Syllabus will be available on the official website.
