Advertisement for UT/Divisional/District Cadre posts belonging to Various Department(s), Jammu & Kashmir.

The Jammu & Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has received various Indent(s) for filling up vacancies in various Department(s), Jammu & Kashmir under direct recruitment as per the details indicated below:

जम्मू और कश्मीर सरकार, जम्मू और कश्मीर सेवा चयन बोर्ड (JKSSB), मुट्ठी, अखनूर रोड, जम्मू / ज़मज़म कॉम्प्लेक्स रामबाग, श्रीनगर। विषय: विज्ञापन अधिसूचना संख्या 08 वर्ष 2026 दिनांक: 04.08.2026। जम्मू और कश्मीर के विभिन्न विभागों के यूटी/प्रमंडलीय/जिला कैडर के पदों के लिए विज्ञापन। जम्मू एवं कश्मीर सेवा चयन बोर्ड (JKSSB) को नीचे दिए गए विवरण के अनुसार सीधी भर्ती के तहत जम्मू एवं कश्मीर के विभिन्न विभागों में रिक्तियों को भरने के लिए विभिन्न मांग पत्र प्राप्त हुए हैं:

Accordingly, the JKSSB invites Online Application Forms from the eligible candidates for participating in the selection process for the aforementioned posts. Total Number of Posts Advertised = 518.

The important dates/details with regard to the posts being advertised are as under:

a.) Date of Commencement for submission of Online Applications: 10.09.2026

b.) Cut-off/Last Date for submission of Online Application Forms: 09.10.2026

तदनुसार, JKSSB उपर्युक्त पदों के लिए चयन प्रक्रिया में भाग लेने के लिए पात्र उम्मीदवारों से ऑनलाइन आवेदन पत्र आमंत्रित करता है। विज्ञापित कुल पदों की संख्या = 518 है। विज्ञापित पदों के संबंध में महत्वपूर्ण तिथियां/विवरण निम्नानुसार हैं: क) ऑनलाइन आवेदन जमा करने की शुरुआत की तिथि: 10.09.2026, ख) ऑनलाइन आवेदन पत्र जमा करने की अंतिम तिथि: 09.10.2026, ग) विज्ञापित पदों का नाम, कैडर, वेतन स्तर, श्रेणी-वार विवरण, योग्यता और चयन मानदंड: अनुबंध-ए, घ) लिखने में शारीरिक सीमा से संबंधित प्रमाण पत्र: अनुबंध-बी, ङ) स्वयं के स्क्राइब का उपयोग करने के लिए वचनबद्धता पत्र: अनुबंध-सी।

The detailed Terms and Conditions with regard to Eligibility, Educational qualification, Domicile, Reservation etc. for participating in the selection process for the aforementioned posts are as under:

01.) APPOINTMENT OF THE CANDIDATES: The Appointment and other service conditions in respect of the candidates selected through this recruitment/selection process shall be governed as per extant rules/regulations of the Government of UT of J&K.

02.) DOMICILE: The candidate(s) seeking to apply for the advertised posts shall be the Domicile(s) of the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir and must possess a valid Domicile Certificate issued by the Competent Authority on the prescribed format on or before the cut-off date i.e. last date of submission of online application forms, which, unless otherwise extended, shall be 09.10.2026.

उपर्युक्त पदों के लिए चयन प्रक्रिया में भाग लेने के लिए पात्रता, शैक्षणिक योग्यता, अधिवास (डोमिसिल), आरक्षण आदि के संबंध में विस्तृत नियम एवं शर्तें निम्नानुसार हैं: 01.) उम्मीदवारों की नियुक्ति: इस भर्ती/चयन प्रक्रिया के माध्यम से चयनित उम्मीदवारों की नियुक्ति और अन्य सेवा शर्तें जम्मू और कश्मीर केंद्र शासित प्रदेश सरकार के मौजूदा नियमों/विनियमों के अनुसार शासित होंगी। 02.) अधिवास: विज्ञापित पदों के लिए आवेदन करने वाले उम्मीदवार जम्मू और कश्मीर केंद्र शासित प्रदेश का मूल निवासी (डोमिसिल) होना चाहिए और उसके पास अंतिम तिथि यानी ऑनलाइन आवेदन पत्र जमा करने की अंतिम तिथि 09.10.2026 को या उससे पहले सक्षम प्राधिकारी द्वारा निर्धारित प्रारूप पर जारी एक वैध अधिवास प्रमाण पत्र होना चाहिए।

03.) VACANCIES: The details of posts advertised are given in Annexure-A to this Notification. However, the actual number of posts may undergo increase or decrease during or before the completion of the selection process and the JKSSB is not legally liable for any such variation in the total number of posts advertised for which the final selection list will be issued. The Advertisement Notification is also subject to the outcome of any writ petition/O.A. pending before the competent Court of law.

03.) रिक्तियां: विज्ञापित पदों का विवरण इस अधिसूचना के अनुबंध-ए में दिया गया है। हालांकि, चयन प्रक्रिया के दौरान या पूरा होने से पहले पदों की वास्तविक संख्या में वृद्धि या कमी हो सकती है और विज्ञापित पदों की कुल संख्या में इस तरह के किसी भी बदलाव के लिए JKSSB कानूनी रूप से उत्तरदायी नहीं है, जिसके लिए अंतिम चयन सूची जारी की जाएगी। विज्ञापन अधिसूचना सक्षम न्यायालय के समक्ष लंबित किसी भी रिट याचिका/ओ.ए. के परिणाम के अधीन भी है।

04.) AGE LIMIT: The requirement of age for applying against these posts, as on 01.01.2026 for Open Merit & various Reserved Category Candidates, shall be as under:

04.) आयु सीमा: खुली योग्यता (OM) और विभिन्न आरक्षित श्रेणी के उम्मीदवारों के लिए 01.01.2026 को इन पदों के लिए आवेदन करने हेतु आयु की आवश्यकता निम्नानुसार होगी:

QUALIFICATION REQUIRED: a) As per the Indent(s) and clarification(s) received from the Indenting Department(s), the Qualification(s) prescribed for the advertised posts is shown in Annexure-A to this Notification. b) The candidates who are declared qualified/shortlisted by the Board for Document Verification will be required to produce relevant Certificates in original as proof of having acquired the prescribed educational qualification strictly on or before the cut-off date fixed for filling online application forms, failing which the candidature of such candidates shall be cancelled by the Board.

c) Candidates may note that their candidature/admission in examination will remain provisional till the genuineness and validity of their documents relating to educational/Technical qualification is verified by the Appointing Authority. d) In case of candidates claiming possession of equivalent educational qualification (where it is applicable/required), it shall be mandatory to produce relevant Equivalence Certificate or seek equivalence from the concerned competent authorities as and when required by the Board. e) Any candidate having his/her qualification other than as prescribed, shall not be eligible for posts advertised in this notification.

05.) आवश्यक योग्यता: क) मांगकर्ता विभाग से प्राप्त मांग पत्र और स्पष्टीकरण के अनुसार, विज्ञापित पदों के लिए निर्धारित योग्यता इस अधिसूचना के अनुबंध-ए में दिखाई गई है। ख) दस्तावेज़ सत्यापन के लिए बोर्ड द्वारा योग्य/शॉर्टलिस्ट घोषित किए गए उम्मीदवारों को ऑनलाइन आवेदन पत्र भरने के लिए तय की गई अंतिम तिथि को या उससे पहले निर्धारित शैक्षणिक योग्यता प्राप्त करने के प्रमाण के रूप में मूल रूप में प्रासंगिक प्रमाण पत्र प्रस्तुत करने होंगे, ऐसा न करने पर ऐसे उम्मीदवारों की उम्मीदवारी रद्द कर दी जाएगी।

06.) APPLICATION OF RESERVATION: Reservation shall be applicable as per the Category-wise break up of vacancies as conveyed by the Indenting Department and/or in accordance with the provisions of the Jammu & Kashmir Reservation Act/Rules, as amended from time to time. Candidates must possess valid Category Certificate as on the Cut Off Date.

07.) HORIZONTAL RESERVATION: Horizontal Reservation for Ex-Servicemen (ESM) candidates and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) shall be applicable to the extent as communicated by the Indenting Department(s)/or, in accordance with the extant rules/regulations.

08.) APPLICATION FEE: a) Fee payable: Rs. 600/- (Rupees Six Hundred only). In case of candidates belonging to SC, ST-1, ST-2, EWS and PwBD category, the fee payable shall be Rs. 500/- (Rupees Five Hundred only). b) Fee can be paid only through online mode viz. Net Banking, Credit or Debit cards. c) Fee once paid shall not be refunded.

06.) आरक्षण लागू होना: आरक्षण जम्मू-कश्मीर आरक्षण अधिनियम/नियमों के प्रावधानों के अनुसार लागू होगा। 07.) क्षैतिज (हॉरिजॉन्टल) आरक्षण: पूर्व सैनिकों और दिव्यांगजनों के लिए क्षैतिज आरक्षण नियमों के अनुसार लागू होगा। 08.) आवेदन शुल्क: क) देय शुल्क: रुपये 600/-। एससी, एसटी-1, एसटी-2, ईडब्ल्यूएस और पीडब्ल्यूबीडी श्रेणी के उम्मीदवारों के लिए देय शुल्क 500/- रुपये होगा। ख) शुल्क का भुगतान केवल ऑनलाइन मोड से किया जा सकता है।

09.) DATE & CENTRE OF EXAMINATION: The J&K Services Selection Board shall notify the date for examination and the Venue/Centre(s) of examination separately on its official website.

10.) SCHEME OF EXAMINATION: The Examination will consist of Objective Type, Multiple choice Questions set in English Language only. There will be Negative Marking for each wrong answer to the extent of one-fourth (0.25) of marks assigned.

11.) SYLLABUS FOR THE POSTS: The Syllabus for the posts shall be notified separately on official website of JKSSB.

12.) ADMISSION TO THE EXAMINATION: Candidates will be assigned Roll numbers and issued Admit Cards online for appearing in the Written Examination. Facility for downloading Admit Cards will be available about one week before the Exam.

09.) परीक्षा की तिथि एवं केंद्र: बोर्ड परीक्षा की तिथि और केंद्र की घोषणा अपनी आधिकारिक वेबसाइट पर अलग से करेगा। 10.) परीक्षा योजना: परीक्षा वस्तुनिष्ठ प्रकार (MCQs) की होगी और केवल अंग्रेजी भाषा में होगी। प्रत्येक गलत उत्तर के लिए एक-चौथाई अंक की नकारात्मक अंकन (Negative Marking) होगी। 11.) पाठ्यक्रम: पाठ्यक्रम अलग से अधिसूचित किया जाएगा। 12.) परीक्षा में प्रवेश: योग्य उम्मीदवारों को रोल नंबर आवंटित किए जाएंगे और एडमिट कार्ड ऑनलाइन जारी किए जाएंगे।

13.) PROVISION OF COMPENSATORY TIME AND ASSISTANCE OF SCRIBE: Candidates with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBDs) may choose to avail the facility of Scribe and/or compensatory time of 20 minutes per hour of examination on production of Certificate as per Annexure-B and Undertaking as per Annexure-C.

14.) DOCUMENT VERIFICATION (DV): Candidates shortlisted for DV must appear with original documents along with self-attested Photostat copies.

15.) MISCONDUCT/MALPRACTICE: Any candidate found indulging in malpractice or using electronic devices like mobile phones, smart watches, etc., will be debarred and subject to legal action.

13.) प्रतिपूरक समय और स्क्राइब की सहायता: दिव्यांग उम्मीदवार नियमों के अनुसार प्रति घंटे 20 मिनट के प्रतिपूरक समय और स्क्राइब की सुविधा का लाभ उठा सकते हैं। 14.) दस्तावेज सत्यापन: शॉर्टलिस्ट किए गए उम्मीदवारों को मूल दस्तावेजों के साथ उपस्थित होना होगा। 15.) कदाचार/अनुचित साधन: परीक्षा के दौरान अनुचित साधनों या इलेक्ट्रॉनिक उपकरणों का उपयोग सख्त वर्जित है।

19.) IN-SERVICE CANDIDATES: In-service candidates must submit print out of filled online application through proper channel (concerned Head of Department) before the document verification stage.

Annexure “A” – Breakdown of Posts, Qualification & Selection Criteria

Name of the Posts, Category wise break up of posts, Qualification and Criteria for Selection of the UT/Divisional/District Cadre Posts.

Note- (i) Candidates applying against the post of Senior Canning Attendant (Item No. 104) and Horticulture Technician Grade-IV (Item No. 105 to 116) must possess the prescribed training certificate issued by a recognized institute. (ii) For Junior Laboratory Assistant (Item No. 179 & 180), preference shall be given to PG Diploma in Professional Lab Course in Chemistry/Other Science.

नोट: (i) सीनियर कैनिंग अटेंडेंट और हॉर्टिकल्चर तकनीशियन ग्रेड-IV पदों के लिए आवेदन करने वाले उम्मीदवारों के पास मान्यता प्राप्त संस्थान द्वारा जारी प्रशिक्षण प्रमाण पत्र होना चाहिए। (ii) जूनियर लेबोरेटरी असिस्टेंट के लिए, केमिस्ट्री/अन्य विज्ञान में प्रोफेशनल लैब कोर्स में पीजी डिप्लोमा वालों को प्राथमिकता दी जाएगी।

“Annexure-B”: Certificate regarding Physical Limitation of an Examinee to Write. Certified by Chief Medical Officer/Civil Surgeon/Medical Superintendent of a Government Healthcare Institution.

“Annexure-C”: Letter of Undertaking for Using Own Scribe for candidates with disability appearing for the examination.

“अनुबंध-बी”: परीक्षार्थी के लिखने में शारीरिक सीमा के संबंध में प्रमाण पत्र। “अनुबंध-सी”: परीक्षा में उपस्थित होने वाले दिव्यांग उम्मीदवारों द्वारा अपने स्क्राइब का उपयोग करने के लिए वचनबद्धता पत्र।
