Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed Matriculation (10th Standard) from a recognized board on or before the cut-off date.

Age Limit (as on 01.01.2025):

Open Merit (OM): 18 to 28 years
Reserved Categories: 18 to 28 years
In-Service Police Personnel: Up to 30 years
SPOs and Volunteer Home Guards: Up to 40 years

Selection Process and Physical Standards

The selection process consists of three main stages: a Written Examination, a Physical Standard Test (PST), and a Physical Endurance Test (PET). Bonus marks are awarded to NCC certificate holders.

Physical Standards:

Males: Height 5’6″ (min), Chest 32″ (unexpanded) to 33.5″ (expanded).
Females: Height 5’2″ (min).

Physical Endurance Test (PET):

Males: 1600 meters race in 6.5 minutes and 20 Push-ups.
Females: 1000 meters race in 6.5 minutes and Shot put (4Kgs) 14.5 feet.
